Yam is a Black & woman owned jewelry brand based in Queens NY and created by artist Morgan Thomas. Inspired by arts & crafts and “DIY”, Yam collages materials and uses non-traditional methods to create cheeky, everyday pieces. The brand is an ode to the founder’s late mother, who first introduced her to jewelry making and was an avid crafter. Nostalgic design runs through out the collection with classic silhouettes and upcycled materials – reminding our customers of what they know and once knew.
