First, the powder format is kind of fun to use, it feels a little like a skincare ritual. I pour a little bit into my hand, add water, and it foams up into this super gentle lather. It doesn’t strip my skin at all, which I appreciate, especially since my skin can be dry or sensitive depending on the season. It has a faint green tea smell that’s not overpowering, and I do think it leaves my skin feeling clean but calm. It’s not a deep cleanser in the way something with salicylic acid would be, so I wouldn’t use this alone if I’m wearing a full face of makeup or sunscreen, it’s more of a second cleanse or morning cleanse for me. I’ve also noticed it helps with texture a little bit over time. Nothing drastic, but it’s gentle enough that I’m not worried about over-exfoliating. That said, if you’re looking for something really strong or super foamy, this might feel too mild.
