I love a brand with a social mission and Tuukul’s is amazing: working with Mexican artisans to hand make the most stunning and elegant pillows. They pay the workers fairly and are helping to help these age old traditions alive. Kudos!

In their own words
What started off as a passion for textiles, nature prints and traditional techniques eventually became the foundation of Tuukul. Every single one of our pieces is designed in NYC by our founder and brought to life by the incredibly skilled Mexican female artisans we collaborate with. We create limited capsule decorative pillow collections inspired by nature and focused on technique preservation, fair trade and sustainability.

Although we don't have a formal certification yet, we work with a non-profit organization based in Chiapas, Mexico that provides workshops for the participating artisans. These workshops teach topics like design, color theory and costing, but also women's rights, health, and micro financing/savings group guidance. The goal is to provide tools that empower the participants to grow financially and personally.
