On a friend’s urging, I finally tried The Skinny Confidential SPF. I’ll admit, I hesitated at first because the price tag made me wait until a sale rolled around. But when it arrived, I smoothed it on before a walk, and within minutes my friend of 25 years, who has never once commented on my skin, blurted out, “Your skin looks great.” That was a first. I have olive, sun-loved skin, and somehow this single shade melted seamlessly into my complexion. The texture is light, glowy, and disappears into the skin without effort. No chalky cast, no heaviness, just an instant radiance that feels more like skincare than sunscreen. I wish there were refills, but that is my only complaint. The clean SPF 40 formula shields from UV and blue light and is made without parabens, phthalates, fragrance, or harsh chemicals, giving a dewy glow with no white cast. And maybe it is the caffeine, but its claim to lift, tighten, and firm might not be too good to be true. Lauren Bosstick set out to create a sunscreen that feels as chic as it is effective, and she has done exactly that. Consider this my newest ritual, a little late perhaps, but one I will not be giving up anytime soon
