I love that The Rootist believes that the roots, scalp and hair should be treated as one connected ecosystem. It only makes sense that if I have weak strands I should also be focusing on my scalp and roots - after all, that’s where the hair starts! The AHA+ACV Pre-Shampoo Clarifying Treatment is for all hair types and it really is gentle! Sometimes exfoliating products make my already very dry scalp and skin feel even more dry - but that is not the case at all with The Rootist! I am so surprised that my hair doesn’t dry out after using this pre-shampoo product 1-2x a week, either. I have noticed that my hair doesn’t look or feel as greasy when I go days between washes. I haven’t even needed dry shampoo but that’s just me! My scalp and hair feel great after using. I like that it helps rebalance my scalps microbiome while using. It doesn’t have a very strong scent at all. The Apple Cider Vinegar smells very mild.

The serum is perfect if your hair is thinning from hormones or age. I have thinning and weak brittle hair from bleaching my hair to dye it a different color. I noticed when using the serum, my hair is shedding less. When washing my hair there is less on the bathroom tube floor and looks a little bit thicker. The scent is hard for me to pin point but I know I like it because I keep wanting to pick it up and smell the bottle.
