  • Heavy, slow-absorbing moisturizers

The Inkey List earns broadly positive reviews for simple, ingredient-led formulas that improve hydration, texture, oil control, and acne—standouts include Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide, Salicylic Acid Cleanser, Retinol, and the Oat Cleansing Balm. Reviews also flag drawbacks: inconsistent results for eye creams and hair treatments, occasional heaviness or slow absorption, dryness or residue from cleansers, odd smells, and persistent packaging issues like hard-to-dispense bottles and leaks.

  • I am not on social media, have no clue about "skin care routines" or any of that. I am a senior citizen with a very basic lifestyle. I went searching for tranexamic acid and found a blog that recommended The Inkey List as a place to purchase it. While I was on The Inkey List website, I thought I would try a few other products. So, in addition to the Tranexamic Acid, I bought the Omega Water Cream, Chia seed curl defining hair treatment and Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Hair Treatment. So far the hair products are fine, but do not live up to all of their glowing promises at all. The Tranexamic Acid could take months to show any results so I cannot say if it is working or not yet. But the Omega Water Cream was a nightmare. I applied it exactly as directed and it did not absorb well, left a sticky film on my skin and I could only stand it on me for about 2 hours before severe itching made me wash it off. Even then I was still itchy for several hours and my face broke out in tiny little bumps everywhere that cream had touched. I have never had such a strong bad reaction to a topical in my entire life. I reached out to their customer service and they replied with a lot of questions, which I answered, and they have chosen to not honor their "60-day customer satisfaction guarantee" for the face cream. Given how cheap these products are, it is not about the money, but about seeing if the company has enough integrity to stand by what they sell. The Inkey List does not. I obviously will not be purchasing anything from them again.

  • I was never big into skincare, I was always very low maintenance. When I started wanting to develop some sort of a skin care routine, I had no idea where to start. That's when I found Inkey. I was able to take a quiz on their website to see which of their products best suited me and my skin's needs. From there, I was recommended a selection of products to build my super simple skincare routine. I have been using Inkey products for about a month now and have definitely seen an improvement in my skin!

  • A lot of influencers have been talking about this brand so I decided to give it a try myself. I've only used Ordinary products in the past, but I was never 100% satisfied. However, this... It's a miracle. It absorbs quickly, doesn't irritate my skin as much as other products. After just a few weeks, my skin is much clearer and more even. I especially love the steps on the packaging for a perfect skincare routine.

This plastic bottle is not the best choice. On one hand, it's not environmentally friendly and on the other hand, it's terribly difficult to dispense the right amount.
