  • I don't doubt the passion behind the brand and also that their tea is at least mid-high quality. But their customer service seems to me unprofessional. 1. I ordered it and my order was cancelled because it was flagged as suspicious. I paid through shop.app and all my other orders through there had no issues. That in itself is fine but I didn't know it was cancelled because I didn't receive an email. It would be nice to receive an email saying my order was cancelled. 2. I ordered another order. These are all gifts to people. I didn't see that they emailed me asking about order confirmation for my 2nd order. I already emailed them asking where I can find USPS tracking number. Their reply: "Our earlier email to you was ignored, so this order was cancelled and refunded. Please note we will not accept future orders, and any future order placed will not be shipped or refunded. Please order elsewhere". Then my 2nd order was also cancelled. I guess now I'm "not supposed" to order from them anymore. I'm just a little confused at why they seemed somewhat hostile, like they were taking my accidental lack of response very personally.

  • I love my haruto matcha from Tezumi! It’s the perfect smooth, balanced flavor for my matcha lattes. I’ve tried many different matches from different brands and this is the best I’ve tried, I won’t buy from anywhere else!

  • Tezumi is my go-to tea company. I order everything from their loose leaf green teas to several of their matchas, and every order has been consistently amazing. The quality is clear as it's smooth, vibrant, and fresh without that bitterness you can get with lower-grade teas. I’ve gifted their matcha set to friends, and now several of them have become loyal customers too. Everyone I’ve shared it with has let me know they could tell their tea is high quality. What I love most is that the price feels fair and my order is shipped efficiently. I highly recommend!

  • Tezumi has become a part of my daily routine. Every sip reflects exceptional quality and every product shows true craftsmanship. The shipping is fast, the packaging is beautiful, and the entire experience is five-star from start to finish every single time. Thank you team!

What is Tezumi Tea?

Tezumi Tea makes high-quality Japanese teaware.

In their own words

Hi there, We're tea enthusiasts who want to share our love of tea and teaware with the world. The Japanese word tezumi (手摘み), meaning 'hand-picked', is used to describe the select few tea leaves that have been carefully picked by hand in the traditional manner—resulting in higher grade tea when compared with machine picked leaves. We chose this name because we put the same care and patience in selecting our teaware. Our Mission We believe that tea tastes best when made with care and attention using utensils designed with one purpose in mind: to make delicious tea. Using well-crafted teaware turns the menial task of making tea into an enjoyable and relaxing experience. That is why we aim to share high-quality Japanese teaware with the world, and in doing so, spread the joy of making a delicious cup of tea. Our Values Quality: While mass-produced teaware will undoubtedly make a serviceable cup of tea, the craftsmanship and skill imbued in high-quality teaware makes every step of the tea brewing process, from steeping to drinking, more enjoyable. From the choice of clay, to the subtle curve of a spout, each decision that goes into making a piece of quality teaware results in a more enjoyable experience and a better-tasting cup of tea. Variety: The world of Japanese tea is vast, with seemingly infinite variations. To match this variety, we aim to offer Japanese teaware for every tea, occasion, and taste—from the most traditional to the most modern and innovative. Transparency: We do our best to give you all the information available regarding each piece of teaware: from its style and age to the individual potter and kiln that it came from. We believe that knowing the story behind each piece of teaware enhances the experience of making, serving, and drinking tea.
