Reviews mention

  • Velvety, invisible finish
  • Makeup-friendly primer texture
  • Inclusive, no white cast
  • Lightweight, elegant formulas
  • Occasional oily residue
  • Chemical scent or eye sting
  • Tinted shade range limitations
  • Packaging clogs or separation

Supergoop! earns largely positive reviews for wearable, no–white-cast SPF formulas that double as makeup primers—Unseen Sunscreen and Glow Screen frequently impress for smooth, lightweight application and everyday protection—yet some reviewers report greasiness, pilling, breakouts, or separation and question efficacy versus cheaper dupes. Reviews highlight inclusive, matte-to-glowy finishes, easy reapplication formats (sprays, sticks, powders), and family-friendly PLAY, while noting product-inherent drawbacks like oily feel, chemical scent or eye sting, heavy shine from Glow products, limited shade range in tints, and occasional packaging clogs or leaks.

  • First of all, do you want a light feeling sunscreen WITH no white residue? Do you want to melt in the summer without feeling slimy and gross? Well, this is the product for you, and probably the best product for everyone! When I first discovered Supergoop, I was so excited to try it out because I was looking for a sunscreen that didn't require me to rub my face for five minutes to get rid of the white residue. It is annoying to having to keep rubbing until those white part would disappear and somewhat look translucent, which is why I absolutely adore Supergoop! I've stopped using other facial sunscreen brands as Supergoop meets my needs, it gives you a nice glow while having the sunscreen feel really light on your face. The texture of the sunscreen is more gel like than lotion, but still one of the best sunscreen products that I've used. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is tired of the typical sunscreen brands, this doesn't leave you feeling oily or unpleasant, just fresh and protected!

  • I’ve used the Unseen Sunscreen for about 2 years and I love it. I recently added the Glow Screen to my routine. It’s even better! Play! is my ultimate favorite body sunscreen. You can’t go wrong with Supergoop

The only reason it isn’t a 5 out of 5 is the price. I understand that you pay for quality but it isn’t accessible for most people. I LOVE Play! sunscreen, but it’s too expensive to use everywhere I need to all the time.

  • I have been using Supergoop for about 6 years now and I really enjoy it. I've been using their Unseen Sunscreen since the beginning and it's always worked for my oily-acne prone skin. I now also use their Tinted CC Screen and it provides a nice touch of coverage which I like.

    Feedback

I would ask for maybe a more extensive color range for the CC Screen, I know that "foundation" isn't the main purpose of Supergoop but it would provide an extra reach for all of that love sunscreen.

  • I tried the supergoop sunscreen, and just found it kind of oily and not super effective, but I may have just gotten a bad batch!

  • Sunscreen is so important, so I love that they are creating a ton of innovative products that make it easier to make sure we are protected every day! The stick goes on super well over makeup and the glowscreen looks gorgeous.

    Feedback

Some of the protection is a little spotty, but generally it's great!

  • As an esthetician, I am a sunscreen addict. love their PLAY SPF 50 lotion. It is a little greasy at first but once it absorbs into your skin it’s totally fine and unnoticeable. I was in Mexico for 7 days and didn’t get a single new freckle or sunburn because I was reapplying PLAY so religiously! Love this stuff

    None really!

  • Amazing products that made me enjoy wearing sunscreen daily. I recommend Unseen Sunscreen for anyone new to the brand - it has a lightweight, non-greasy texture that feels matte like a primer, and is totally different from normal sunscreen. My other regular purchase is Every Single Face (serum-like texture that keeps other skincare from pilling, but is still fast-drying and non-greasy).

    Feedback

Not a criticism, but best-fit product will depend on your climate and other skincare routines. Glow Oils are pretty thick / high shine - I live in Texas and they were too heavy, but probably better in cold climates. I also found MatteScreen wasn't worth it and made my other skincare products pill.

  • Everything I've tried from Supergoop! has been of high quality and a little goes a long way, so I've been able to justify the price based on that alone.

    Feedback

    Refillable or recyclable options.

  • The updated Supergoop formula is amazing. Spreads on smooth with no white cast or sickly smell (which I feel like is a major downfall of a lot of more natural/luxury sunscreens.) Feels clean on the skin. Amazing for everyday wear and for a full day at the beach.

The Glow Stick fell short for me. Too greasy!

  • I love this because it works as a sunscreen as well as a great primer for my foundation. I love that there’s different variations.

  • I've tried both the Glowscreen, and the Unseen sunscreen. Glowscreen doubles as highlighter, and is an illuminating base. Unseen works as primer, too, with its silicone base. Unseen sometimes pills, but it's not bad at all. There is NO white cast whatsoever. Slightly drying, so moisturize well.

    Feedback

I saw a UV patch test not fit pass for the Unseen Sunscreen, so please check up on how effective the SPF is.

  • I love their sunscreens. They work really well under makeup and I have never had issues with sunburns (which I get easily) while using their products. Glowscreen sunscreen works really well as a primer for makeup and makes the skin look very glowy.

    Feedback

I recently saw a video of someone testing out their sunscreen with a uv sticker and it did not protect the skin. My dermatologist also warned me to use a different sunscreen or just layer them if I really wanted to use it (which I have done).

  • Used an entire can in 2 days. Still got burnt. Doesn’t work.

    Feedback

    Could help prevent sunburn.

  • LOVE their unseen sunscreen. I use it everyday with my daily skin care routine. I like that it can be used under my foundation and not feel super oily

  • Sunscreen is a little oily for me, but I still prefer it to traditional sunscreen.

  • Great products that are made of clean ingredients!

    Feedback

Costs is a negative but in general the products are worth the investment!

  • This review is for the Supergoop Glowscreen and Supergoop Glowscreen only! It makes your face look like a luminous goddess while preventing brown spots from forming. I’m not a fan of the new tinted version as it doesn’t have that shimmer and just a ruddy color. The other plus is you won’t need makeup or color corrector over so it’s easy to re-apply midday to avoid pilling.

  • Fun aesthetic, love the products and have continued to repurchase

    Feedback

Glow screen and Unseen sunscreen are my favorite and everyone needs at least one of them in their collection

  • LOVE their glowscreen. I'm not sure how effective it is as sunscreen, but it works better as makeup than my actual makeup. It's become a part of my daily routine. I balked at the price tag but it lasts a long time and is worth it!
