I have two very picky Shih Tzu’s. One that is a next level challenge. She’s been eating Dr. Marty’s her whole life, but I wanted to add something else to her diet. I’ve literally tried all the brands out there.Sundays, UnKibble, Farmers Dog, Pet Plate, Maev(I really wanted her to like this one. Extra healthy but NO)Mills, Yumwoof, Nextrition etc there’s more. I just can’t think of anymore right now. Every one of these foods she rejected. EVERY SINGLE ONE! We did get her to eat the Mills for a little while if I put it down and just let it sit for a couple days she would pick at it but that was it. So I was giving up when I saw an ad for Smack. I figured I’d give it one more try. It’s a little out of my price range, but the quality was so amazing. I had to give it a try. I figure at the very least I can use it as a topper. I was blown away! Wow! I even want to eat this food! I love the texture of the food and it smells like coconut. I don’t know why because I don’t think there’s any coconut in it but it smells like coconut. Both my dogs LOVE SMACK!! It’s definitely a little pricey and a little too dense to feed every day. So I’ve decided to give it to them every other day and stick with the Dr. Marty’s with the freeze dried liver and chicken hearts on the alternate days. It keeps it interesting and gives them nutrients they’re not getting from one in the other. The ingredient list is impressive. They use organic fruits and vegetables and human grade high-quality proteins. This is top-notch food and I am thrilled that my dogs enjoy it. I finally found a healthy option that they will both eat that I can feel confident feeding them. I’m shooting for 20+ years this time. My last girl made it to 16. I’ve upped my game with probiotics, vitamins, and quality food. Lots of exercise and good healthcare. I really hope I can have these babies for a long time. Shih Tzu are wonderful little dogs. I’ve truly been blessed. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this food! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
