Reviews mention

  • Impressive nutrition panel benefits
  • High-fiber, high-protein formulations
  • Satiating, filling breakfast option
  • Works in toasted preparations
  • Dry, crumbly product texture
  • Muted, bland overall flavor
  • Inauthentic bagel chew and structure
  • Sparse cinnamon raisin mix-ins

Royo earns mixed reviews: while some find its low-calorie, high-fiber, high-protein breads and bagels helpful for weight management and satisfying when well-toasted with robust toppings, many reviewers say the products are very dry, bland, and unlike true bagels or challah. Reviews also flag inconsistent order fulfillment and unresponsive communication, making the brand a risky buy despite the compelling nutrition panel.

  • I thought I would try these to have a higher protein and lower carb option but they have no taste at all. I thought maybe I was being overly critical so gave one of the bagels to a friend that is a health nut and she said they were horrible too as tasteless. I tried the cinnamon raisin bagels and the bread both had no taste.

  • If you’re expecting fresh white bread or artisan bread - ROYO isn’t for you. If you’re actually looking god something that is healthy, that is good for keto or for cheating on carnivore without weight gain, AND has a side benefit of losing weight (no kidding whatsoever), ROYO is what you’re looking for 100 percent! We can’t keep it once we get it and we’ve ordered all of the products. My husband has always eaten healthy and always looking for new products to try. If I have one complaint, it’s that subscription orders are every 4 weeks and that’s not frequent enough for us. We immediately ordered a replacement bread and bagels pack and because the orders were so close, guess it looked like a duplicate! No problem they said they would fedex a new order to us. We love and stand by their products and yes we’re nuts for wanting to spend more than $150.00 a month for bread, BUT the scale don’t lie and they taste good for vegan and kept friendly which is relevant to eating healthy!

  • After spending $60 on the starter pack, I was completely disappointed with the taste. The challah rolls and bagels were so bad that I wouldn’t even feed it to the birds and squirrels in my yard.

  • Organic oats

How would you classify your ingredients? Natural , organic?

  • Love the idea of low cal / high fiber bread, but these didn't do it for me (especially at their price point). Gave 2 stars because their bread / bagels aren't the worst things I've ever tasted, but they really don't taste good. Perhaps more accurately, they don't taste like much at all and the texture is pretty dry. Just not an enjoyable eating experience for me. If you're considering trying, I would suggest buying one product rather than the starter pack.

  • I was excited to receive this Bread because I had tried the hero Bread and was happy but I kept seeing ads for this Royo Bread . First of all I was very unimpressed by the Customer Service. I had a problem and I asked them when I would receive the shipment and I didn’t get any answers. Then I accidentally ordered two loaves. They did refund me one however I received it today and Bread and I just didn’t like it compared to the Hero Bread it was disappointing. I’m not using this for diabetes. I’m using it for low keto to lose weight and I’m wondering if it’s really the correct carbohydrates that they’re putting on there the net carbohydrate. Truthfully I wish I hadn’t bought it. Just wasted $40. I probably won’t eat much of it. The hamburger buns I bought we’re not very good in my opinion.

  • I was really looking forward to trying this new product. Although the products came in less than a week, the contents were extremely disappointing. I first tried the challah roll and found that it had very little flavor, it certainly did not taste like a challah roll should! I tried putting butter on it, which defeats the purpose of having a low calorie product, but even that did not help much. The cinnamon bagel barely had any taste of cinnamon, and it had maybe 2- 3 raisins. The plain bagel was a slightly better in taste, but definitely not the flavor or texture of a bagel. It's just in the shape of a bagel. I see in some of the reviews that there are people who really like it, and that's great. I recommend buying a small amount, even if you have to absorb the shipping fee, and then decide. I will not use this for stuffing or give it away to a food pantry or soup kitchen. It doesn't seem right to do that. Since there is no refund on online orders I'm SOL.

  • I thought I may have found a good product based reviews. God was i wrong , I wasted like $70 on bagels and a loaf of sliced bread all are gross and poorly made. Would not suggest anyone waste their money.

  • I have now had 2 deliveries and I plan on continuing to order. The only thing that could be made a bit better is more raisons in their cinnamon raison bagel but besides that their products fill a need. When you toast the bagel with some whipped cream cheese it's filling and yummy. Making grilled cheese sandwiches now with their bread is not something I worry about anymore as the low calories and carbs make it a no brainer.

  • Mine took a long time to get to me but it was worth the wait! Giving this product anything less than 3 stars is a crime! While they don't taste like conventional bagels, they are still a great tasting alternative to conventional bread. For the amount of fiber, protein, and low calories I call these a win.

  • Having a similar problem as Eve B. Been almost a week and the 6 pack sampler has not shipped. So far no response by email. Today is Sunday. Tuesday will be a week. Their Facebook page has not been updated since December 2023. I’m wondering if they are still in business.

  • I was excited to try this healthier version of bagels because I love bagels, just very rarely eat them due to high carb count. I bought the variety starter pack and so far have tried the cinnamon raisin and the everything bagel. I loved them!! Does it taste exactly like a bagel? No, but it tastes wayyyyy better than other low carb bagels I have tasted. I double toasted for more of a crunch and I really enjoyed it. My son and husband also ate them and think they're very good. I am curious to taste the bread and hoping it's as good as the bagels. ROYO has gained a new customer in my family!!

  • I was anxious to receive my starter pack because of all the wonderful reviews I read. HOWEVER, these are by far the absolute WORST things I have ever tasted! Cinnamon raisin had one raisin… I tasted no cinnamon and the bagel itself tasted like dirt . I threw the rest of the bag in the trash!! I did try a plain and found it slightly better, but not good enough to ever buy again! Worst purchase ever! Don’t waste your money
