I have used the Pillsbury All-Purpose Flour to make bread, pretzels, cookies, and crumble. I bake fairly frequently. I think the flour performed well but I doubt it performed much better than the store brand so I can't justify the price.

This is the brand I have fond memories of because I would make these with my grandma. Nowadays I don't really eat these any more because they are riddled with artificial ingredients. The one thing I have to give them credit for though is making the raw cookie dough safe to eat now.

I think Pillsbury does an excellent job marketing and their cute little dough boy appeals to all kinds of buyers (when I was a kid I wanted a stuffed animal version of him because I thought he was so cute and huggable). While their products might not be top of the line, the friendly brand is readily available and widely trusted by many consumers. If you are looking for a ready to bake desert you can't go wrong with one made by Pillsbury.
