Reviews mention

  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel
  • Reliable, barista-grade frothing
  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • Good quality and provides good flavor. Pricing for the size seems a bit more expensive, but I like the quality of the “milk”.

    Price for size

  • Oat milk is my favorite of all the milk alternatives and Oatly delivers. Love that oat milk is a sustainable alternative to cow or almond milk.

    Feedback

    None.

  • great oat milk but ingredients are iffy

    Feedback

the taste is good compared to other oat milk brands but there are a lot of "extra" ingredients in my opinion.

  • This is my favorite lactose-free creamer to enjoy with coffee, tea, whatever. I love this creamer. It's amazing. Its creamy and thick and blends easily into whatever you're making without separating into chunks. Compares to nutpods oat creamer

    Make more flavors.

  • Delicious dairy free products - the best on the market in my opinion. The different flavors of oat milk especially leave me feeling full knowing no dairy was hurt in the process.

  • I'm a diehard almond milk fan who hates the impact of almond milk. Oatly is now widely available and alway stocked in my fridge purely because the texture/consistency in coffee can't be beat right now.

    Feedback

    More widely available flavors.

  • I love Oatly! Whenever I see it on a coffee bar menu, I'll pay for the upgrade (iced oat latte is my favorite). It's so creamy and foams well.

  • Love the product and froths you really well like dairy milk

    Feedback

Don’t love that there’s gums in it

  • Oatly tastes incredible, it's easy to find, love the barista blends! However, if you're looking for a natural option- this isn't it.

  • Oatly fall short of other alternative plant based milks to me. Even as the leader in oat milk, I’m not thrilled with the consistency or flavor. There are better options on the market but if this was all that was available it’s decent enough and doesn’t trigger my lactose intolerance like dairy milk

  • I believe this is the most delicious oat milk out there. I have tried cheaper versions (from Trader Joe's) or other brands, but this one is definitely worth the extra cost. It is also perfect for my daily flat white and my cereals in the morning. Plus less calories then normal milk :)

  • I really enjoy all of the oatly products.

    Feedback

If you’re looking for an alternative to dairy. I highly recommend oatly products.

  • I used to be a loyal and prolific oatly fan for years. But once the shady sustainability practices and quality control issues began to surface I decided the price point wasn’t worth the oat squeeze.

Go back to your roots and return to your mission of sustainability and the highest quality oat milk. Can you make oat milk at home for next to nothing cost wise? Yes absolutely. Does it taste as good as Oatly? Absolutely not. But in a world where corporate values and actions play a big role in consumer decisions, Oatly has disappointed its loyal base.

  • Eventually I was tired of paying for lattes everyday from various coffee shops so I purchased this to make my own at home and I'm glad I did! It foams perfectly for that creamy oat milk finish we all desire in our $6 lattes.

I think they nailed it. However, I may suggest offering a smaller size option for people (like me) who don't go through the entire carton within 7 days

  • Oatly is my fav brand of plant-based milk unless I pay the extra for a brand that only has three ingredients and no preservatives/additives whatsoever. I love the range of consistencies/tastes they do to mimic different types of cow’s milk (like whole, semi-skimmed) and Oatly barista gives a great froth for coffee!

    Reduce ingredients

  • honestly at first i loved this brand and the idea behind oat milk, however recently this brand and oat milk in general is the last thing I want! this brand uses so much filler and oil its gross

    Feedback

the ingredients should be cleaner and less fillers

  • Tastes delicious but one serving has as much oil as mcdonald's french fries!!

    Feedback

Use less added oils in this!! this product is marketed as "healthy" but it's quite the opposite.

  • It’s good, it’s a classic. Its not my go to but never upset when I have it

  • Love the taste and creaminess, works the best out of all the plant-based milks I've tried for matcha, smoothies, coffee, etc.
