Oatly earns high marks in reviews for creamy, barista-friendly oat milks—especially Barista Edition and Full Fat—that steam, froth, and elevate coffee, tea, and baking, with many calling it the best-tasting oat milk. Reviews also flag drawbacks: some find certain versions watery or overly sweet, and many criticize the ingredient list (oils, gums, phosphates) and report digestive upset or blood-sugar spikes, while a minority prefer competitors’ thicker texture.

Best texture and taste of any oat milk, especially the barista blend for foaming

Ingredient list - don't love all of the additives, such as oils and gums

the best oat milk I have ever had

I like it so much! It blends well with coffee, oats and pancakes. It gives a good flavour taste that doesn't change the overall taste. I also like the branding and packaging they do -- it gives a yuppie culture nostalgia.
Feedback
Maybe the after taste of the vanilla it can improve more. It's a little bit weird especially when I mix with oats.

Swear by their Oatly Barista for coffee. Perfect texture and not too sweet like others I've tried. Appreciate the branding, and information on the packaging.

I love oatly’s products! My favorite brand of oat milk and oat products.

I really enjoy using Oatly for my homemade lattes because it makes them so creamy - my only con is that it's slightly high in sugar when compared to the soy milk I also use interchangeably.

Favorite oat milk brand by far. Much less watery than other brands and has a good flavor. Most oat milks don’t froth well but I didn’t have that issue with Oatly.

Oatly (alongside Chobani and NotCo’s NotMilk IMO) is one of the rulers of the increasingly competitive oat milk/alt milk space with respect to taste. In terms of their business practice, I recommend you read the article written by Claire Carlisle on ethicalconsumer.org that covers the two instances in which Oatly has gotten heat. If supporting small businesses and avoiding large corporations is the #1 reason you make your purchasing decisions, Oatly might not be for you. However, in my opinion, I will still support Oatly because of their accessibility, price, range of products, and most importantly taste. As you may remember Oatly accepted an investment from PE firm Blackstone a few years back which is led by a notable Trump donor. That said, coming from someone who had a brief 3 year stint in the financial world, every VC of PE firm has some old white Republicans running it. For me, I can’t fault an otherwise ethical/sustainable company for accepting “dirty” money when nowadays all investments could be considered sketchy if you look high enough up the totem pole. They also sued a small local farm for brand infringement which I think is a little shady, but again, it’s hard to beat the other pros. I will admit that I have been leaning more toward other alt milks like pea protein (NotMilk as mentioned earlier) but when I do buy oat milk I typically rely on Oatly.

I recently discovered I’m lactose intolerant and have been using Oatly (besides other brands) for everything. Their barista product is great for drinks, they have other products for cereals or oatmeals, as well as cream cheese. It’s a varied brand that continues growing.

I’m not aware if they have cooking options.

This milk is so good. Great with smoothies, coffee, cereal, and anything that you need a milk substitute for. It's not overly creamy and doesn't have an overpowering taste. Very accessible too.

Yum! Def the best Oat Milk around.

Best tasting milk alternative drink on the market. It's a go-to ingredient for mochas.

Wish the packaging could be recycled. Also, wish it was a little less expensive (not the company's fault, but would be nice for consumers).

Taste pretty good, the packaging is really great. Easy to find at my local retailer and good option within the category.
Feedback
Separates and needs to be shaken VERY prior to pouring.

Great oat milk for making cappuccinos. Foams great!
Loveable branding. But I don’t get it, why are there so many varieties: whole, skim, organic, barista, cold fridge, dry goods… some separate with coffee, others feel thick. I can’t figure out the perfect venn diagram of tasty and good for you.
