  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • A good alternative to my daily coffee + milk situation.

  • I use oatmilk every morning in my coffee and although I enjoy the taste of oatly, the drink leaves a film on the frother that other oatmilks don't

    Frothability testing?

  • The best plant milk on the market so far perfect for everything especially frothy hot chocolate and coffee !!

    Feedback

    Nothing it’s great !!

  • Milk alternative with a good panel, finally. Love that this offers more protein and fiber that a nut type of milk. The consistency is good. I love it in smoothies. My go-to milk substitute.

  • i think it's really good, especially the barista one

    Feedback

kinda pricey. ain't easy to find in places like turkey

  • Oatly is the only brand I will use when making an oatmilk latte from home. The consistency and taste is the perfect way to kickoff the morning.

    Feedback

Honestly, there isn't anything in particular just that the packaging is a little dull.

  • Tastes horrible compared to whole milk. Highly processed.

  • Taste and use in coffee are in my opinion unmatched by any other brand. However the more I learn about the ingredients the more hesitant I am at buying it.

    Feedback

Hopefully there is a way where they can formulate a similar tasting milk without all of the harmful ingredients.

  • Out of the dairy free milks, oat milk is my favorite. My favorite is costco’s but Oatly is a close second. Taste 4/5 Price 3/5 Similarity to milk 4/5

    Feedback

Price is pretty high when its compare to costco’s oat milk but its taste and consistency definitely helps justify the price

  • Oatly barista is still one of my favourite oat milks for coffee. But after trying out two other brands that makes really great oatmilk, I realised Oatlys version actually does have a tiny touch of sliminess to it that´s not pleasant. It´s the same thing with the icecream.

    Feedback

The consistency, appreciate that it´s fat and creamy but it has a touch of slimy.

  • I’ve tried many a nondairy milk for making lattes, and oatly is one of my favorites. Speaking specifically about the barista edition, it has a great taste; thick consistency, and makes the perfect espresso or matcha latte, great both hot or iced.

  • My husband and I are trying to lead more of a vegan lifestyle. We have found it difficult to give up a cup of tea with dairy. We've tried all sorts of plant based milks but, honestly, none are good for a cuppa. Until one day at work we had run out of milk. Desperate for a cup of tea, and only 5 hours into my 14 hour shift and the local shop shut, I ransacked the fridge. There it sat a carton of Oatly with my colleague's name writed across it (sorry Jen). I poured a bit in and, anticipating the worst, I took a sip. I was pleasantly surprised. It had a cream taste and no weird aftertaste. I have bought a couple of cartons so far and even my husband has been happy with a Oatly coffee.

    Feedback

Great in a cup of tea so I'm happy.

  • Definitely the best tasting oat milk around. It is sold out a lot when I go to the grocery store which is a bummer.

  • Oatly is such a go to brand I always like seeing it in the coffee shops I go to

    Feedback

I’ve read a lot about how oat milk affects blood sugar levels and I always do notice a crash after I use this rather than just black coffee, something to think about but not necessarily brand specific

  • I absolutely love Oatly products, I always include them in my morning protein smoothies!

  • I really liked it. Would rebuy again.

Packaging should improve like making it more eco friendly.

  • This brand is horrible, I used to solely use this brand at home until reading the ingredients. This is not oat milk!!! The amount of gums in this is gross and I would recommend this to no one.

    Feedback

Creating oat milk, not gum milk

  • One of the only oat milks that really makes foam. Levels-up my coffee every morning. Thick consistency and great taste.

    Feedback

Sometimes it can feel a bit heavy.

  • To keep it simple, there's no need for rapeseed oil in oat milk.
