  • Creamy, luxurious mouthfeel
  • Reliable, barista-grade frothing
  • Smooth, neutral oat flavor
  • Versatile, beverage performance
  • Additive-heavy ingredient list
  • Seed oil, rapeseed inclusion
  • Occasional digestive discomfort
  • Sometimes overly sweet taste

Oatly impresses in reviews for café-worthy performance—its Barista Edition froths reliably and delivers a creamy, smooth texture that elevates coffee, matcha, and lattes—while dividing opinion over formulation. Fans praise the rich mouthfeel, neutral-to-oaty flavor, and versatility across baking, cereal, and smoothies; critics cite seed/rapeseed oils, gums/additives, sweetness, and occasional digestive upset as drawbacks. Overall, Oatly is considered a top-tasting, highly consistent oat milk for beverages, but less appealing to buyers prioritizing ultra‑clean ingredients.

  • My favorite tasting oatmilk I've tried so far.

    Feedback

Light taste, doesn't change your drink, the barista version is great because it froths.

  • Real good oat based products, love the branding. I wouldn’t call it the best, but it’s easily in my top 3.

    Feedback

The oatmilk’s quality has been inconsistent in the past, including a recent recall due to micro plastics.

  • Loved this barista edition. I used to not like oat milk, my friend recommended this one. Would buy it again.

However, the "oat drink" indication made me think why doesn't it just say oat milk?

  • It tastes great, my daughter loves it. I enjoy the consistency of the milk.

  • Finding a dairy free alternative to milk is not a horrible experience thanks to oatly. I reach for this over every other brands I've tried. It tastes great!

  • Excellent oat milk. Our favourite in our lactose free home. The barista version is delicious, onctuous Even my 6 years old loves this one and doesn’t need any cocoa to make it taste better😍

  • Good non-dairy alternative to milk but I just wish it was not so processed. Overall good milk when you're in a pinch and need to grab it because it is so widely available

  • I’m a big fan of the Oatly barista edition because it doesn’t have a super strong oats taste and it frothes beautifully for lattes.

  • Love Oatly! My favorite dairy milk alternative. Tastes great. I literally will not buy another brand of "milk".

They recently changed the color of the low-fat version (my go-to) from light blue to white. But don't be alarmed, it's the same great taste.

  • Oatly is my go-to non-dairy milk choice. It has a creamy milk-like consistency without needing an “extra creamy” option. If you care about clean-eating, Oatly’s main ingredients are oats and water. Oatly is made from gluten-free oats, certified Non-GMO, doesn't contain gums or traditional thickeners, and also carries the Glyphosate Residue Free certification by The Detox Project. Also, skip the barista version as they almost always add in sunflower or safflower seed oils.

  • This shit is disgusting and terrible for you. I have no idea why anyone drinks this; much better alternatives out there.

  • I am a big fan of Oatly. Out of all the plant-based milks I've tried, Oatly has been a stand-out frontrunner. This is because of the Texture. Oatly has managed to make their milk thick, smooth, and creamy, which is a welcome change from of the other watery milk alternatives I've tried. I will note that the whole milk variety is the best in terms of thickness. The other versions are still much better than other brands, but still are a little watery.

Although Oatly has a great product, I was a little upset to read about the ingredients that are in their products. While I wish I could get a milk-alternative without oil, I know that this oil is essential for the thick and creamy texture I am looking for.

  • I use the Barista Edition of Oatly on a nearly daily basis as a barista. Of all the non-dairy milks that I've used, both personally and in my occupation, Oatly has come the closest in terms of creaminess. It foams up pretty similarly as dairy milk which is neat. I personally really don't like the taste or texture, as it is too chalky for me. However, many people in my life like it. Plus it pairs really well with most, if not all, flavors!

  • Love the flavor of this oat milk, and the richness it provides to my coffee drinks.

    Feedback

I would love to learn more about the origin of where and how the oat milk is processed.

  • Definitely one of the better Oat milks out there but have found the equivalent cheaper brands have the same ingredients and are organic for a minimum 50p less and taste just as good as well as frothing the same.

The pricepoint is still a big factor when buying every week I think as competitor taste has now levelled with it.

  • Honestly I think this product is an over rated, snobby barista option. I love oat milk over cows milk but there are better

  • I love adding Oatly to my coffee. It adds a nice creamy flavor, without any dairy, which I love!

    Feedback

While this is a great creamer alternative to dairy creamer, I wish it was more affordable.

  • Great taste but i think it caused some acne breaks out

  • Now every brand comes out with plant-based milk and this one is still my favorite. Has the best texture and thickness in coffee

  • What can I say? I drink this about every single day. Super love! 🤍
