Reviews mention

  • Refined, memorable fragrances
  • Gentle, sensitive-skin formulas
  • Smooth, glide-on application
  • Accessible, diverse scent range
  • Inconsistent odor longevity
  • Occasional white residue transfer
  • Gritty, sticky deodorant texture
  • Noticeable shirt staining risk

Native earns mixed-to-positive reviews: its deodorants and body washes smell exceptional and many users say they work for everyday wear, while others report short wear time, residue, and staining. Reviews praise clean-feeling formulas, sensitive-skin options, and standout scents like Coconut & Vanilla, Eucalyptus & Mint, and Citrus & Herbal Musk, but note inconsistent odor control in heat/workouts, occasional rashes or grit, and cardboard-packaging ergonomics.

  • Good texture with my favorite smells for deodorant.I really enjoy the sugar cookie scent. My only gripe is that they're not particularly long lasting on really hot, sweaty days. Good enough for use in winter and other less hot times!

  • Feels nice under the arms but this does not last very long. Great transition product and I’m sure would be fine if you stick with natural deo. But it wasn’t for me.

  • I love using seasonal products and Native really pulls through with the appropriate scents! I use the deodorant and it stands up well for daily wear but I use stronger for exercise or especially hot days.

  • I love natives bodywash (and my boyfriend does too) it smells spectacular and never leaves a weird film like some other brands do. I have their deodorant, but I have to continually reapply every few hours otherwise I am pretty stinky. I understand its natural and aluminum free, but a longer wear time would be great! I have also tried the lotion and while it smells exactly like the deodorant and bodywash, I just don't like the texture (but that's my personal preference, nothing against the brand!)

  • I love the scents of these and that the brand is pretty easy to find, but after trying two different deodorant options for me this did not work for me to keep scent at bay and can be irritating to more sensitive skin.

  • In my search for healthier, environmentally friendly & clean skincare brands, I came across Native. I started with deodorants first. I love their Vanilla & Sandalwood scent and I use mine every day. I can see myself using this forever. However, I had a disappointing experience with their body wash. I was excited to try it next and in another favored scent of mine nonetheless: Eucalyptus + Mint. Needless to say, I had to stop using it, not because of the fragrance but because something in it made my skin itch, specially in my private area. I've never had this happen to me before with any other body wash (my usual being the Dove brand). Hence the 4 stars. I think I will give it another shot with a different scent before parting ways from their body wash line.

  • the only brand my family will use for deodorant!! we love it!! my friends love it!! Haha apparently everyone else does too because, the aisle is always missing coconut vanilla. If you haven't, go try it today!

  • I used Native for about a week, and at first, I really liked it. It went on smoothly and didn't leave any white marks on my clothes. It also seemed to work well at preventing odor. However, after about a week, I started to develop a painful, dry rash under my arms. I should note that I have eczema, but I've never experienced it in my underarms area. I stopped using Native and the rash eventually went away. However, I'm not sure if I'll be able to use it again. I think it may be too harsh for my sensitive skin. If you have sensitive skin, specifically eczema, I would recommend using Native deodorant with caution.

  • The deodorant just feels like a thick moisturizer for the underarms. I don’t feel that it does anything to deodorize. It also takes a minute for all the residue to wash off in the shower.

  • I like Native’s clean and sustainable products. I love all the scents they have available, and really enjoy their deodorant and body wash. My favorite thing is that it’s available at Target, making it easy to always make the sustainable choice.

  • I use this brand of deodorant on and off with clay dry. I like that it doesn’t have the aluminum and that they have sooooo many scents to choose from. I will say though. I do have to reapply. I sweat moderately. I guess so maybe on someone who doesn’t move around as much as me during the day once may be enough. But it’s worth it to have scent options. Also I am sensitive to some natural deodorants and get really red rash under arms but not with this!

  • Like the scent of the deodorant but doesn’t last very long on me and the texture feels chalky on the skin when you first apply it. Even after a couple of hours it looks white on your underarms and becomes almost sticky/waxy after sweating. I’m going to finish the one I bought but wouldn’t repurchase.

  • I’m writing this because I love the scents that they make. The lilac and white tea body wash is incredible. I really wish the natural deodorant worked on me! I just feel like I notice more deodorant marks than with other kinds - I saw they have a spray deodorant now which is what I use with other brands so I’d be inclined to try that! I also wish the lotions were more available in stores (I have never tried the lotion to go with the wash + haven’t been able to find the lotion in that specific scent in store)

  • Unfortunately these didn't really work for me year-round. I've tried a lot of natural deodorants and haven't had much luck with them working well during the hotter months. I do like Native for cooler months when I won't be sweating as much though - the product has a nice consistency and I love all of the scents they offer.

  • My partner changed his normal shampoo to their Sweet Peach & Nectar and has rave reviews! Smells amazing, his hair is a softer, shinier and it hasn’t irritated his scalp.

  • Wasn't a huge fan. Didn't work for me but I do like the way it smells on its own

  • I love the native packaging, but I found the deodorant just so so. I've tried other natural deodorants that worked better with my body chemistry.
