Muji earns strong reviews as a minimalist one‑stop shop that works well for stationery, storage, and home basics—its 0.36–0.5 gel pens, notebooks, diffusers, and modular organizers draw consistent praise for smooth performance, thoughtful design, and longevity. Reviews also flag drawbacks: clothing can fit boxy or feel mid‑quality, some items (especially certain home goods) feel overpriced, pens may smudge or skip, and online selection/UX lags, making in‑store experiences distinctly better.

  • The store that has everything! Amazing stationary, pens, notebooks, etc. Nice home products as well, like an oil diffuser. Beauty products are high quality as well. Very affordable, but great quality!

  • I love shopping in the store- it's kind of like a nicer/ more aesthetic version of H&M home (with even better prices). Muji is great for things from household basics to base layers and winter coats. My favorite Muji product is their pens- especially because they have inexpensive fine tip (.38) pens in many colors, which is hard to find in most stores.

  • Love anything and everything Muji! I love all the products and totally recommend it to everyone! The products are good quality. I love all the different color pens!

  • The pens/stationary are unmatched in value and aesthetics. The homewares are cute but in general I do find most things overpriced for what they are. I have their acrylic organizers which were pricey but I do find that it's worth the cost because other options on the market tend to not have as clean of a look.

  • Great products for the price. Love their clothing, homegoods and stationary. I do however find their furniture sometimes overpriced.

  • Muji is an experience! In store, this place gives you a sense of home. The scents and style is very inviting and allows you to interact with the product. I have purchased many essential items and have not been disappointed. Muji takes away the decision fatigue with simple, practical items that you will use over and over again.

  • The Muji Aroma Diffuser is a compact yet powerful addition to my space. Its sleek design seamlessly blends in with any décor, adding a touch of tranquility to my environment. What immediately drew me to this diffuser was its simplicity. The minimalist appearance complements its functionality perfectly. Using it is effortless – just fill it with water, add a few drops of my favorite essential oil, and let it work its magic. The diffusion is gentle yet effective, dispersing a soothing mist that fills the room with a delightful aroma. It creates a calming ambiance, perfect for relaxation or creating a pleasant atmosphere during work hours. Moreover, the diffuser operates quietly, allowing me to enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy without any distracting noise. Its auto-shutoff feature adds to the convenience, providing peace of mind when using it for more extended periods. Muji's Aroma Diffuser has quickly become an essential part of my daily routine. It's a functional and aesthetically pleasing addition to my space, delivering a refreshing and serene experience.

  • I've been using Muji pens for at least 10 years now. If you've used a Muji pen, you know why. They'd be on my list of 3 things to bring to a desert island.

  • Always reliable, never a bad product. Love the combination of Japanese and Scandinavian minimalism. Don’t underestimate these people.

  • I love the simplicity and design of this store. I’ve been to the Tokyo store and the California store and it has never disappointed. Quality at an approachable price point, thoughtful design, and nice not to have logos plastered all over everything. only wish there was a store in the Midwest :)

  • I went to muji in Tokyo and absolutely fell in love with the store. Every product felt like it was thoughtfully designed and artfully executed. From the most compact and organized DOP kit for traveling to the perfect linen cross back apron, everything was built well and priced fairly. The closest thing I could compare it to is an IKEA with better build quality. I did wash my crossback apron and experienced some shrinkage. I would suggest being extra cautious when cleaning their linen products

  • For as wide as the brand has expanded, Muji still continues to produce extremely consistent quality. Old reliable and old faithful. So practical, classic, but very thoughtful. No surprises and very little change to product design over the years. Muji fully understands that to be a global staple you can't be randomly changing around design/formula. The best is when you forget something small when traveling and can find the exact same item in another country/airport Muji.

  • I absolutely adore Muji for its minimalist aesthetic and high-quality products. Every item, from their stationery to clothing and home goods, reflects a blend of simplicity and functionality that fits seamlessly into my daily life. The understated designs are both elegant and practical, embodying a philosophy of 'less is more' that I greatly appreciate. Furthermore, their commitment to sustainability, evident in their use of natural and recycled materials, resonates with my environmental values. Shopping at Muji is always a delightful experience, with its calming store layout and exceptional customer service. It's more than a brand for me; it's a lifestyle choice that aligns with my preference for simplicity, quality, and sustainability.

  • Great for minimalist basics that are high-quality and long lasting. They have everything from kitchenware, to stationery. I especially love their acrylic drawers and dotted notebooks and have repurchased these multiple times!

  • I will always stan Muji, everything from their pens, to their clothes and their homegoods have always been a constant staple in my life. The simplistic designs, affordable price points, and sheer variety in the products they offer is mind-blowing. I miss going into their physical retail spaces and smelling the essential oil diffusers, or not wanting to get up after slumping into their bean bags.

  • Obsessed with the Muji pens-I wish they were easier to get my hands on! I always go to the store in New York to stock up.
