Good notebooks with several options regarding page layout (blank, grid, lined) plus covers come in various colors. The two main issues I've found over the years when using or comparing similar notebooks is #1 the amount of pages isn't as much as other brands and #2 it can be difficult to find this brand in physical stores and buy from them directly. I've overpaid on Amazon and only once was able to shop in a flagship store in NY.

Can't leave home without one in my pocket.  The small 3-3/4" x 5-1/2" more or less sized pocket notebook is a favorite, and I write enough stuff to have a new one each year.  I keep all 10 years of notebooks and read through the older ones every now and then.  Great for names, phone numbers, frustrations, passwords, experiences worth noting, To Dos, & reminders, and more.  I have a smart phone, but you could say I'm old fashioned.  BTW a notebook requires a nice pen.

These bad boys are the OG, in my opinion.

PROS:
- Thick paper, pen doesn't bleed through.
- Love the ribbon bookmark.
- High quality feel for cover & paper. 
- Lots of options for cover color
- Can get them monogrammed/customized & good for gifts

CONS:
- Hard to get to lay-flat if you dig that. Probably hard for lefties. 

TLDR: A go-to for journaling, taking notes, etc for me. Always make for a great gift, too! Highly recommend. 

I have used these notebooks before. They are great for jotting down ideas and keeping a journal. 

I have been a die-hard fan of this brand since I was a sophomore in high school. Their planners allow for the perfect amount of space to write in extra information on the side while still having space to write in the days. The hardcovers are very durable and high quality. My only issue is that they can be a bit expensive, however their products also often go on sale.

I'm a songwriter and have used the moleskine music lined notebooks for years. I couldn't imagine working with anything else, and it's a miracle that my songbook has lasted this long. There are tons of pages in it, so it's actually lasted me over five years.

Beautiful and durable! I love that they come in a wide range of sizes. It's super convenient to have a small one to take anywhere. They're a good price point for how durable they are and you can find them at most convenience stores. 

I enjoy using Moleskine’s planners. They offer multiple sizes, and I appreciate that they offer a spiral-bound option that can lay flat when opened. The planners are high quality and look sleek and professional.

i have had many moleskine notebooks over the years, they're a classic for a reason! currently using the cherry blossom edition with a beautiful color. great size and nice quality paper, love everything about them. 

Left handed people look no further. Thede have been my go to notebooks for years. They carry all different sizes and i love that they lie flat. If you purchase at the store they will even customize your notebook which makes for a great gift for that person in your life who is always jotting things down. 

No notes. Perfect as-is. Like me. Jk jk jk

I've been using Moleskine for years. I used to keep one in my bag for journaling my *very important* thoughts. And, now I always buy an annual planner to keep track of all my stuff. There's just something about writing things down that keeps it lodged in my brain and crossing things off the list really gets my synapses firing. Anyway - the paper doesn't smudge and doesn't easily tear. The bindings hold up after a lot of abuse. And, the look of them is just simple and classic. Love them!

I've used Moleskine Classic Notebooks as my personal journal + work notebook since I high school and I can't recommend them enough. The ruled hardcover notebooks are the superior journal and the XL soft cover notebook are the superior work notebook. No contest. 

The colors are wonderful and the pocket at the back to store small papers like tickets, receipts, and whatever else you want is so convenient. They also withstand travel very well and the covers don't fray or damage (even after spilling water on them). 

I will continue to buy Moleskines for life! 

I’m annoyed that I write this review from a work trip away from home because I can’t add a picture of the FIVE used Moleskines in my bookshelf. This is such a classic journal for any possible purpose and the quality really can’t be beat. While I plan to try another product for a bullet journal at the end of the year, I use Moleskines religiously and will likely go back after testing this next one :)

If you're in the market for a high quality notebook, then Moleskin notebooks are great. The paper is great quality and there are lots of nice touches, like the rounded edges, or the pouch for other scraps of paper. They aren't cheap though!

Also check out Leuchtturm notebooks, especially if you want something a little unsual. In my view Leuchtturm have a slight edge over Moleskin.

The paper is nice and is fountain pen friendly. However, there are many other affordable options for good quality notebook paper. The color variety that is offered is unmatched. I appreciate the builtin bookmark and book band. 

Moleskine with dot paper has been my favorite for years!

It's the little things. Large enough to take extensive notes and small enough to fit easily into my bag. Lays flat when I open it, making it easy to write without the next page getting in the way. The bookmark is perfect so I can remember where I left off. 

Been using the A5 size notebooks as my journal for over a decade! The cream-colored paper makes your writing look amazing — a very academic, romantic, studious aesthetic.

My collection of these notebooks is so satisfying. Neat, uniform, and in chronological order, they look like encyclopedic periodicals or a series of handwritten novels. 

In terms of product features: amazing paper quality, smooth feel, no bleed, sturdy hardcover, lies flat when open, and comes with a handy little ribbon bookmark. The elastic keeps it closed and will stay snappy for years if you treat it kindly.

Moleskine is definitely a bestselling staple for a reason.

Classic, easy to  carry notebooks. As a writer, I always keep a notebook in my bag and Moleskine makes some lovely, light notebooks.
