Messyface started with frustration. The spreads aisle is full of products that look indulgent but are built on ultra-processed ingredients, refined sugars and palm oil. They taste sweet, but don’t feel good. While travelling in the Middle East, our founder discovered something different. Fruit molasses and tahini. Naturally sweet. Deeply flavourful. Simple. People had been eating it for centuries. No tricks. No additives. Back home, he started blending his own version. On toast. On pancakes. Straight off the spoon. Friends asked for jars. Then friends of friends. That’s when Messyface became a thing. Messyface makes indulgent sweet spreads using just fruit and seeds. No added sugar. No added oil. No fillers. No “natural flavourings”. Nothing hiding behind the label. Our first spread blends sun-ripened grape molasses with silky sesame tahini. It tastes rich, fudgy and caramel-like. It surprises people. It shouldn’t taste this good. But it does. Our mission is simple: Make food that feels naughty but is actually natural. We believe the best food is a bit messy. It drips. It swirls. It gets on your hands. And it’s made from ingredients you recognise. Messyface exists to prove that you don’t need ultra-processing to create joy. Just real ingredients, bold flavour, and a bit of chaos. Spread it. Swirl it. Swoon.
