  • I was super excited about these socks, but unfortunately they were a huge disappointment. The metallic coating rubbed off after the very first use, before they had even been washed. I contacted customer service and initially they offered a 20% discount if I purchased a second pair. They then offered a replacement pair if I paid the postage costs myself. In the end, they withdrew any offer of compensation because I had purchased the socks while on holiday in Paris. The product quality was poor, and my experience with customer service only added to my frustration. Needless to say, I’m very disappointed and would not recommend buying these socks.

  • Okay, so I read the NYT Object of Desire review of Maria La Rosa's One Ribbed Laminated Socks and immediately bought them in Ologram Silver. Upon receiving them they looked so amazing I did not want to break them open. I don't know if it's because they are waaaay more expensive than any socks I've ever purchased in my life or there is some kind of magic to them but they are really fun to wear even if they are hand wash only.
