This was my first introduction to makgeolli, and I liked it! I bought it at a local Asian grocery store and took the employee’s advice to get the Original to try first. It has a nice fizz, but I took a star off because it was a little sweet for me. I don’t know if makgeolli is ever mixed with other things, but I don’t love to drink sweet alcohols unless they’re mixed in cocktails. I saw that the brand has a Lite version with less sugar though, which I would love to try next.
