I acquired 3 brand new Maharam pillows from a local thrift store for $12 a piece and felt like I was robbing the place. These pillows are amazing - the inserts are great quality, so heavy and soft, and the zip-covers come off and are easily washable. They've held up pretty nicely the last 1.5 years even though I have a dog who sometimes likes to snuggle up with them. I can see why they're so expensive initially - I think they will last a long time. The pillow covers don't have washing instructions on them though or any material information, which would be helpful.
