Made with NY Farm wine and California brandy, this low-alcohol, low-sugar, and low-calorie beverage is a more mindful alternative to bitter apéritifs.
Le Moné was born out of an authentic collaboration — people with distinct backgrounds in the beverage world coming together to recreate the idyllic nostalgia of refreshing homestyle lemonade and combining it with the ritual of drinking an elegant apéritif. Award-winning distiller and brewmaster, Eric Bachli teamed up with former Sixpoint colleague, Max Nevins, and sommelier Marissa Reiser, who has worked at Marea, Locanda Verde, Lilia, and Per Se, to launch this project.
Le Moné features a unique wine base using a Traminette from the Finger Lakes region with a bright lemon-lime aroma and acidity that's complementary to the Meyer lemon. It’s then fortified with brandy sourced from California, adding a gentle spirit warmth that really helps bring this beyond the wine category to be enjoyed more like a low ABV spirit or cocktail. The organic blue weber agave, imported from Mexico, is the final step to balancing out the vibrant lemon aromatics and acidity. And, finally, the lemon is an essential oil distillate made from California Meyer lemon peels. Plus, each bottle is made of 100% recycled glass from Trentino, Italy — so you can re-use it as a vase or any DIY centerpiece when you’re finished.
