  • So pleased with the crib we purchased. It’s a simple, beautiful design and that’s more gorgeous in person. Customer service was responsive and a store rep accommodated a request for expedited shipping.

  • I love my Stump and the fact that every design is utterly unique. Definitely a forever piece, and love that I know it was made by hand with love.

    Production/shipping/etc delays are just a fact of life right now, I guess. Thankfully, it was worth the wait.

  • Incredibly beautiful and unique. Reliable and sustainable. Pieces to pass down for a generation. The Ioline crib and the Bough table are stunning. Had an isometric table before and transitioned it to a desk.

  • EDITED ON JULY 2024: Hi, I wanted to edit my review and rating of Kalon Studios. I submitted a review on the Caravan crib, my review focused on the customer service received by Kalon and not on the crib itself, which we absolutely love. Since my review, we did resolve our issue and received the hardware needed to convert the crib to a toddler bed. The EU rep of Kalon Studios, looked into the matter and discovered that the missing hardware had been stuck in customs for months. The Belgian post needed extra documentation to release the package and no email or phone was provided to contact the receiver (us). Johann took extra care and attention to send us a new hardware and chose a different courier service, so we received all in a few days. Our girl has been happily sleeping on her converted Caravan crib since! So I wanted to fairly edit my first review and thank Johann and Kalon for the extra attention. I still stand on my dissatisfaction with their customer service and I hope that they can improve on it. It’s a small company with limited resources but there are many small businesses excelling in responding promptly to their client’s enquiries. Like I mentioned, the review was never about the design or the product (which we are huge fans of!) but solely on their client support. ////////////////////////////////////////////// We purchased from a reseller the Kalon Studios Caravan crib a few years ago for our first child and when he transitioned to a toddler we bought the Conversion Kit. Back then, we were going to order directly from the Kalon Studios but their customer service was so terrible that I gave up. But I loved the design so much that I got it from a reseller. Fast forward years later, our second child is using the same crib and we needed help to do the conversion. We contacted them and they told us that we needed new hardware, which we ordered and paid for. That was back in October 2023, it’s almost February 2024 and we didn’t get the hardware but worst than that, our emails are ignored or they take weeks to reply. We reached out by Instagram and had a reply but that was 2 months ago, no hard ware, we cannot convert the crib and no one wants to answer our emails. Avoid thir brand. It’s beautiful but it’s not worth the bad experience. Terrible service. I don’t understand how brands in 2024 still get away with this. Do better, Kalon Studios

  • There are very few customer reviews available on Kalon Studios so we wanted to share our experience. Kalon Studios projects an image of high quality and attention to detail; they charge super premium prices to supposedly reflect that quality. However in reality none of that is true- we purchased a king bed directly from them (order value over 6000US$) that arrived with multiple defects, which we reported to customer service immediately together with photos. It took several months of follow up for Kalon to even tell us what a resolution would be, they just kept putting us off saying they're waiting to hear internally (it takes their workshop months to let their own customer service know what resolution they will offer?!) Finally 2 months later we're informed replacement parts will be shipped to us. We had already paid for white glove assembly the first time around, so Kalon sets up someone to install the replacement parts. At the last minute they inform us they are sending a Taskrabbit, rather than an insured qualified technician. This is not what one expects at the price point that Kalon charges. We flag this to them, and tell them that Taskrabbit does not verify if people on their platform are qualified or insured, nor does Taskrabbit take any liability in case of damages. Kalon insists they've personally spoken with the Taskrabbit person and they are confident it will be fine, thereby confirming their responsibility. Of course, when the replacement parts are opened there are new defects on them, and at this point we just want to be done rather than start another long replacement process, but then the Taskrabbit person significantly damages the paint on our just-painted wall leaving us with 850$ in repair costs (Kalon requested and received a formal quote from a contractor). When we inform Kalon, they try to claim the money from Taskrabbit, and when that of course fails because (as we told them prior) Taskrabbit refuses all liability- Kalon then informs us that this is between us (the customer) and Taskrabbit, that they merely see Kalon's role as "facilitating" the set up. This is factually and legally inaccurate- we had no contractual relationship with Taskrabbit through all this- our contract was with Kalon for a non-defective bed and for white glove assembly, and Kalon did not fulfil this. Kalon set up their side contract with Taskrabbit to fix the problems caused by Kalon's poor quality control, with no payment or agreement with us. And predictably when there was an issue, Kalon tries to evade all responsibility for problems caused by their own products and chosen service providers. We are now having to cover the repair costs ourselves- making our overall cost with Kalon over 7000$, only to get a defective bed and wall repairs at the end of it. Save yourself a lot of hassle and buy from other retailers that offer quality, chemical-free natural wood products for a lot less, because Kalon is in no way a premium product worth the price they charge, and they cut a lot of corners on both their product quality and customer service.

  • Kalon's furniture is beautiful. It consistently had the most beautiful designs as compared to both classic vintage furniture and other contemporary furniture. That's why I purchase several items. On top of that, Kalon incorporates sustainable practices and their customer service has been outstanding. In my opinion, it's the best out there.
