Reviews mention

  • Velvety, ultra-creamy texture
  • Inventive, distinctive flavors
  • Plentiful, well-distributed mix-ins
  • Impressive dairy-free options
  • Inconsistent flavor execution
  • Occasionally icy, grainy texture
  • Some flavors overly sweet
  • Variable creaminess across pints

Jeni's Ice Creams earns rapturous reviews for rich, ultra‑creamy texture and inventive, true‑to‑label flavors like Brambleberry Crisp, Gooey Butter Cake, and Brown Butter Almond Brittle, confirming the brand is excellent. Reviews also flag downsides: pints are expensive, quality varies by flavor, and some report iciness or overly sweet/salty notes and occasional freezer burn from stores.

  • One of my top 2 favorite ice cream brands. Incredible/unique flavors, rich taste, and can get them at their cute stores (which you can smell from a mile away in the best way possible) and in most grocery stores now as well.

More flavors, always! A bit on the pricier side but worth it.

  • It's always great to see a local brand get well deserved respect -- have been a fan of Jeni's since its start in Columbus and now glad that their top flavors (hello brambleberry crisp) are available around the country. Highly recommend!

  • my #1 favorite ice cream int he world ever!

Sometimes my favorite flavor (cream puff) isn't available anywhere.

  • Excellent ice cream, some of the best flavors in the category. I love the product and have purchased online for years, also sent as gifts for the holidays.

    Feedback

Shipping is super expensive so I am glad that I can now find at retail.

  • Jeni's is the absolute best - delicious, creamy flavors often with an innovative twist. Their branding is always on point, and the brand is fun.

I think Jeni's makes the best ice cream. It's definitely pricy, but I think it's worth the price as a splurge (as opposed to an every day ice cream like Breyer's). I just consider it a separate category of ice cream.

  • Jeni's made me love ice cream. I know that sounds dramatic, but I was pretty meh on ice cream until I tasted Jeni's. The flavors are so good, slightly unusual, and rotate often. Their Brown Butter Almond Brittle is such a good flavor, buttery and crunchy and smooth.

Price is higher than usual, but worth it.

  • SO AMAZING! I received some as a gift (seriously such a good gift idea!) and loved it!! I then was in Nashville and saw they had a location there so I obviously had to get some every night of my trip! The ice cream is so good and the flavors are soo innovative and delicious!

    Feedback

Some flavors are a little different but I loved almost all of them!

  • Would sell my soul for a pint of brambleberry crisp. I have loved Jeni's for years. Brilliant flavors, gorgeous packaging, and fun retail experience.

  • Jeni's ice cream is wonderful. Very smooth and creamy.

    High cost, small amount.

  • As an ice cream lover I was super excited to try these. My family had an ice cream tasting party with these, so I was able to taste about 8 flavors. I was surprised to find that some flavors I thought I wouldn't like, I loved and vice versa.

I love Jenni's mission and the ingredients they choose to use so it would be nice if they had a line of classic flavors.

  • This is the best I’ve cream on earth. Hands down. No contest.

  • Loveeee jeni’s - innnovative flavors, beautiful, highly giftable packaging that delivers incredibly well so that products stay in place and stay cold. Overall feels like an extremely editorial unboxing and also DELICIOUS ✨

  • Wedding Cake with Lemon and Elderflower is phenomenal

  • Jeni's Ice Cream both tastes incredible and has a wonderful and rich texture. Their scoop shops are super cute as well but you can also get pints in many grocery stores and the quality remains! The Butter Cake flavor is incredible!

I haven't been able to get my hands on any of the dairy free flavors. I know they have a number of them in the market but they are no where as easy to find.

  • Best ice cream ever. Innovative flavors. Not the healthiest.

  • I love the creamy texture of the ice cream and the unique flavors. My favorite flavor was Brambleberry Crisp. I appreciated how they sold sample flavors so you could try them before committing to purchasing a full size pint, especially since the pints are in the ~$10 range.

This was convenient to purchase in California, as it was available at several grocery stores. However, it's hard to find this product in NYC.

  • In a crowded field of luxury ice creams, Jeni’s stands out because of its fresh, innovative flavors. I’m not sure its consistency is that much better than so many others, but it’s excellent. I have a Jeni’s about a five-minute walk from my house, but there are literally 8 other ice cream shops I can walk to. So if there’s a line, I go somewhere else. In other words, it’s not worth waiting that long for.

Make more flavors with chocolate and nuts. Also, the staff at the Alexandria store could be friendlier. Like, smile when you walk in. You want to feel some joy when you’re splurging and treating yourself to ice cream. Even though I do it several times a week!

  • Jeni's ice cream is actually incredible. If I won the library I would probably make a Jeni's ice cream machine in my house so I can have it all day. They have the most amazing flavors (my favorite is the boston creme pie) -- they have something for everyone. Do yourself a favor and try it at least once before you die.

The only feedback I have is that is is REALLY pricey for ice cream, but it's so so SO worth it

  • Yum Need I say more? Buy-eat-repeat (any flavor you can’t go wrong)
