Customer service is terrible. I wanted a refund for shorts that did not fit, and they explained I could only get store credit, which is a problem in itself in 2026. And then I tried to use my store credit, but it didn't accept my code and charged me full price. I was told that once an order goes through, they can't make any adjustments. Which absolutely cannot be true. Of course they can cancel an order. Of course, they can offer a discount or credit me the difference. It's ridiculous and a bit of a scam that they wouldn't. Not to mention their stuff is WAY overpriced. I'll stick with the men's section in Vuori or Lululemon. Better quality. Better service.

I've never felt comfortable in swimwear until trying Humankind. As a plus-sized masc lesbian, typical women's swimsuits don't feel good on me and wearing men's swim shorts felt like too large a step in the beginning. Humankind's gender-neutral swim bottoms and compression top were LIFE CHANGING. For the first time since I can remember, I actually feel confident at the beach and the pool. 10/10 recommend if you want a gender-neutral option.
