  • I love the brands mission and the variety of products they sell. Hobby Lobby is not just a craft store. It is for anyone. Beginner artists and advanced artists alike can typically find something they need in the store. Even someone who is not into art or DIY projects at all can add to their home decor by browsing the pre-made decor. They have great quality store brand items that are just as or at least almost as good as the name brand, but a much better price. For example I think their Masters Touch Heavy Acrylic Paint is just as good as the ones offered by the name brand. They are also always offering deals and sales which I love. If it is not on sale this week and you don't need it immediately, check back next week because it probably will be. Their sales are always rotating so it is good to plan ahead and keep an eye out for sales if you know you will be needing something soon.

  • Hobby lobby is such a fun store. I admire them staying closed on Sundays. They have great craft items for people in many different areas and levels of skills. They also have great decoration options. The frequent sales or deals help make this a fun place to shop often.

  • Oh, Hobby Lobby. It used to be my go-to craft store 20 years ago. I loved the layout of the stores. I loved the products. I loved the variety. I made a lot of impulse purchase there. However, when they started treating employees poorly and fighting what insurance they had to provide, especially to women, they lost my business. I won't go back.

  • Pros: They carry your standard/pro art supply brands. Stores are usually pretty clean and organized, even if the section placement doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. They do have some cute stuff, if you can sift through the other cheesy, gaudy, and religious "inspiring" decor targeted at mostly middle-aged and older women with money to burn on overpriced generic decor. Cons: Religious and obnoxious about it. They don't believe women (any person with a uterus, really, but I won't pretend they recognize that) deserve birth control and flushed a ton of money down the toilet to fight a legal battle to block their insurance plans from covering it for their employees. Their prices are also high, and their sales/coupons don't help much. Bottom line: Shop at Michael's or a local small business instead.
