Gardenbelle Shop earns polarized reviews: many celebrate the ethereal, flowy designs, soft natural fabrics, inclusive sizing, and pieces like the Moondance Kimono, Bohdi Free Flow Pants, and Harper Dress that feel comfortable and flattering, while others report inconsistent sizing, fragile construction (loose threads, raw patchwork seams), and garments that rip. Reviews also cite delayed or misleading shipping updates and a strict, shifting returns policy as frustrations, though some recent buyers describe quick exchanges and responsive support. Proceed for whimsical style and comfort; beware quality variability and customer service inconsistencies.

  • This dress is absolutely gorgeous! I have it in Spirulina and want to get it in beetroot next. I am a 37in bust (34D), 29 in waist and 42in hip. I was worried regular would be too snug on the hips but it fits just right. I wash in gentle cold and hang to dry. If I notice any shrinkage, a gentle steam and stretch gets it back to its original shape. Love that I can layer this in fall and winter and wear as is during summer. I always get compliments on this one.

  • This review really only applies to plus sizes! I love Gardenbelle overall but thought that someone else might be looking for info like this! I was so so excited to receive these pants, but I am so disappointed in the fit and especially the quality. I love Gardenbelle and tell everyone about them, but these pants have some of the worst construction I have seen. Each patchwork seam is a raw edge, not surged like normal. Even surging isn’t a great way to construct a garment if you want it to last a while, but they didn’t even surge these. They’re all totally raw edges with no reinforcement whatsoever. Meaning these really shouldn’t be washed even by hand as the weight of the garment when wet will pull heavily on the seams. With time, every single seam will fray (which you can see in the photos is already starting to happen) leaving each seam with no integrity and the whole garment will fall apart. Part of being sustainable is making clothes that will last forever, not skimping on the construction so they give out and your customer has to keep buying more. The elastic is totally loose inside the waist band and folds, twists, and moves around. It’s very uncomfortable because it folds in half and pinches. There is a drawstring on the inside of the pants as well for anyone wondering, which I love! The waist also seems to be measuring smaller than stated online. When I got them, I thought they sent me the wrong size because of how much smaller the waist was than my typical pants. The thing I am most sad about is the sizing. I have tried other gardenbelle pants before, and I love their other wide leg tie dye ones (great fit for plus sized people!), but their moonstone joggers, their shorts, and these both just do not fit for plus sized bodies. It’s like the garment was designed for a size two and then they just multiply the proportions exactly to make it a larger size. The result is that the crotch seam is much too short in particular, which ruins the flowy effect. The shorts I tried from them in my size were about three inches too long and all of the fabric hung in the crotch area because the seam was tight and it pulled all the fabric to the middle. If you are plus sized, their shirts and dresses usually fit as expected, but their pants can be more difficult in my experience. I just wish that there was more representation of plus sized people when they are creating the garments and especially in models so that we can see what the larger sizes on larger bodies will actually fit like. I love the design of these so much that I’m going to try to reinforce every single seam myself and lengthen and secure the elastic, but I feel for the price point I shouldn’t have to do that. They design such great clothes, and I love their claim to body positivity and clothes fitting you in any season of life, but it just doesn’t seem like a lot of the garments I have ordered have really had plus size bodies in mind.

  • Loved this fabric for the moth pants that I had to try the shorts! They are beautifully soft and cool. Casual, but just nice enough to dress up a bit for hot summer days. And the black bean color is absolutely perfect!

  • These pants felt like a gamble for me, but they’ve been completely worth it! The fabric is some of the most comfy I’ve ever worn and the fit is very flattering for a simple soft “lounge” pant. I reach for them all the time—from lounging to wanting to look cute but comfy. They’re also very comfortable temperature-wise, which is super important in the south. I’m planning to buy another pair soon!
