Epperson Mountaineering was founded in 1973 by Mark Epperson, a mountaineer from Montana. Mark couldn't find a backpack that satisfied his adventurous needs. He believed that by utilizing artisan craftsmanship, high quality materials, and innovative functional designs he could assemble great backpacks and so he did. Mark sewed each bag by hand from our shop. Today our products are still made in the U.S.A. by artisan pack makers and with the best components.
