I received a sample of Elta MD UV Skin Recovery with SPF 50. It works amazingly. It’s been a hot summer already so I tried this on a triple digit day and it really kept my face from burning. I would buy the full size, the quality is worth it.

Not to be dramatic, but I will probably die with this sunscreen on. 6 years ago, I (pale, freckled) committed to wearing face sunscreen every day. So, I've been using this sunscreen for 6 years, 99% of the time. I LOVE it. No white cast (mind you, I am already pale), and it doesn't feel greasy on my skin. Other sunscreens have broke me out, but never this one. I love that they launched a bigger size, too. The packaging is great too.

EltaMD sunscreen is hands-down the only sunscreen for my face that I consistently repurchase. I’ve tried so many different brands, but nothing compares to how lightweight, reliable, and comfortable this formula feels. I like both the tinted and untinted versions — the tinted one is perfect for days when I want a little coverage and a more even look, while the untinted is my go-to everyday option. Neither feels heavy or greasy, and they don’t cause breakouts, which is a big win for me. I usually order from Dermstore, but now I’m tempted to switch to the Thingtesting link because it means I’ll actually get more money back on something I’m already buying regularly. It’s one of those rare products that really earns its spot in my routine.

EltaMD’s sunscreens are excellent. In particular, their UV clear line is my holy grail. I used the non-tinted version for a few years but I now use a more affordable Korean sunscreen as my first layer and apply a second layer of the UV clear tinted on top. It works great and helps me get more use out of my bottle, which only works because it doesn’t pill (even the reformulated version). The UV physical broad spectrum sunscreen is much thicker and harder to rub in, but I use this on my body when I know I’m going to be outdoors for a long time since I never burn when I use it. Note that it does leave a white cast, which is a problem many mineral/physical sunscreens have. Their AM facial moisturizer also applies great and sinks in, but it’s out of my budget! Overall, EltaMD makes great products and I love to stock up when there is a sale.
