I’m a side-sleeper and have squashed my shoulder thoroughly, and painfully. Did the research and this came up as a reasonable option. Unpacked today. I was aware of the odd shape and had ordered the cotton pillow case (not shown). BUT! Unprepared for lumpy and uneven filling — visible from the photo. The exterior casing (like a padded pillow case) and the pillow itself have an odd fishy odor. The pillow case is washable but the pillow itself isn’t. I’ll try it out. Unless it has miraculous shoulder-protective powers I’ll probably return it. UPDATE THE FIRST. Very uncomfortable. Still haunted by smell of fish. However, depending on one’s anatomy, mileage may vary. UPDATE THE SECOND. Increasing rating from 1* to 3* purely because of the fantastic customer service who facilitated the refund.
