  • Super cozy, well-constructed cotton pajamas in really fun designs/colors (which is what you’re really paying for). It's obvious these are made very well, apparent in things like the trim and darts. And the cotton is comfortable but I've seen some color-fading, some shrinking, and they get really wrinkly if you don’t fold immediately out of the dryer. Great for being lazy around the house and cotton is always good for body-temp regulation. Love the way they look and feel, but not sure if I’d pay as much for another set. Still worth checking out the brand because they offer silk pieces and the patterns are so creative.

  • The good news is that they are well-constructed and have a cool visual design. The downside is that they fade horribly, and the colour vibrancy is not stable. I've now had two pairs, and I've only used them to wear while working at my desk. My conclusion is that the fabric used is very low quality. Both times, the fabric began to disintegrate for no apparent reason. I don't even sleep in them. This would be a really great product if the fabrics used were of better quality. This is one of those products where they seem to spend a lot on pushing their brand but sadly the fabric quality isn't there. If they produced a better quality garment they would be unbeatable.

In their own words

Molly & Joel grew up on opposite sides of the world, one in the UK one in Australia, met in Canada and fell in love in Madrid. Then Skype was as exotic as it got. Until Molly went to London. With a lot of energy and very little nightwear. They went to buy her some proper pyjamas but their pyjama safari was fruitless. So there was the idea. A pyjama company. They called it Desmond & Dempsey, after their grandfathers. So we make pyjamas. We began with women’s pyjamas. Now we make pyjamas for men and kids too, and other snazzy things for around the home like slippers, socks and fine robes. Our pyjamas are proper. You know? The sort of things that can make everyday pursuits feel a little bit deluxe. Hand-painted prints. Fine cotton. A tuxedo of leisure, if you will. Proper pyjamas are to leisure what butter is to toast; a way of turning something quite ordinary into something quite magical. And we’re all about the magic of ordinary things. We make a product we’re proud of. Really proud of. Fancy pyjamas for unfancy things. A uniform for celebrating life at home.
