I recently got my Biom and I'm having the same problem. It's VERY difficult to get the first wipe through the hole, and then it tears easily. And yes, I'm using the innermost wipe. Once I had it going, some were OK but two-out-of-three would tear. It seems that the hole is just too small. The wipes are also a bit dry. 

Hey Natalie! Thanks so much for trying out biom and sharing your experience. To be honest, the wipes tearing sounds really unusual to me! I'm actually thinking that you may have tried loading the outside wipe rather than the INNERMOST wipe. This can be counterintuitive and we're working on making this super clear for easy loading, BUT if you load the outer wipe, its really not going to work at all unfortunately. If you still have wipes, please double check you're loading the innermost wipe, if you need more wipes PLEASE email me at hank@getbiom.co and I'll get some wipes in the mail to you. It should be a very smooth and gentle wipe pulling experience, we take a lot of pride in it - so nothing would make me happier then getting you some new wipes and make sure we're diagnosing why you were having trouble on the first go.

Biom Home + The Everything Wipe Starter Kit

I’ve said good but to the ugly plastic counter spray bottle and replaced it with biom. Keeps my kitchen less cluttered, more clean and the wipes smell amazing! 

If you're looking for a product that cleans everything from your countertops to your little one's mouth and hands, this is it. Biom is an eco friendly, safe cleaning wipe that also looks great sitting on your kitchen countertop. I keep the travel size pouches in my car, in my purse, and in my dog walking bag and they're super handy. I love that the container comes in multiple fun colors and is refillable. Fair warning though, Biom wipes are not cheap - hence the 4 stars instead of 5. There are 50 wipes per refill so you might go through them relatively quickly. I recommend buying when you find a discount code or sale and then stock up!

Biom products have a modern and sleek appearance with innovative thoughtfulness. The wipe dispenser looks great on the counter, and the scents available are impeccable! 

Would absolutely recommend this product/brand. Compostable, nice smelling wipes have been perfect for our kitchen and cars.  I really loved their collab with corpus, one of my favorite brands.  Hoping for more collabs in the future!

I can’t believe it took this long for something like this to be invented. Not only are the wipes, super durable and useful, but the design is incredibly sleek, and the scent is wonderful. My only complaint would be that sometimes it can be hard to get the wipe through the nozzle and the next one will break off before it comes through. But, the nozzle is better than the Clorox one where it gets stuck and your hand gets wet! Hope I stocked up enough on Black Friday 😄

If it isn't broken, don't fix it... right?

Well, it turns out that sometimes there are things that we didn't know we needed to be fixed. I've been a die-hard Lysol or Chlorox wipe girly, but after having kids it's become more apparent that I wanted products that are not harmful. I found Biom and I loved the aesthetics of the wipes dispenser (plus, they come in mini-sizes too!) I got the all purpose wipes for wiping down baby's hands after eating, I got the sanitizing wipes for when we go out and eat and need to wipe down the restaurant's high chair before using, and also got hand sanitizing wipes for travel. They come in nice scents like eucalyptus, santal natura, grapefruit zest, etc. Now they live in my home, in the car, and in my purse. The wipes come out from the dispensers with ease.

Now, why the 4 stars? Well, it just so happened that when I made the order, they were moving warehouses. A month after my order, I finally got an email letting me know they were out of some of the products I ordered. They made it right by refunding/replacing items, but it was a little disappointed. Then a month later, I was notified of another item they were sunsetting which I needed to choose an option. I appreciate their proactiveness in providing alternative options, but it's been a lot of emails that I've lost track of what I'm supposed to receive.  I hope this is just a one-time thing... otherwise I know they are now sold in Target so I can get it there easily.



The shipping was a little slow...but given we are still in a pandemic, I shouldn't complain about that. Will definitely buy this product again. 

First of all, I love the concept of sanitizing alcohol wipes that are plant-based and biodegradable. I constantly use wipes, so it's nice to know I'm reducing my environmental impact by using ones that can be compostable. 

After I placed the order, I received a nice video from the founder which was a nice touch. Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest impact. It also came in a cute, plastic-free box with easy-to-follow instructions. I also really appreciate the transparency on the website. 

It truly is a great product all around! Maybe the packaging could be downsized a bit.

This is an impressive plant-based product! From the personalized video from the creator to the quality of the product, I am sold on these wipes. When I first looked at the container I thought it was going to be very flimsy, but it is very sturdy and the wipes are durable as well. Their smell is refreshing and clean.

The wipes are pretty good. I like the formulation, but they're not wet enough. When the wipe hits the object I am trying to wipe down; it's almost dry :/. I've checked the seals of the container for air leaks, and all is good on that front- I think the alcohol rapidly evaporates. 



I am thrilled that I discovered Biom and got to try it through Thingtesting! A lot of thought went into this product, which is evident from when you press "send to order"...I received a thoughtful video email from the brand founder and nuggets of wisdom regarding the brand's purpose and mission while awaiting the product's arrival. 

I love a good unboxing experience, and Biom didn't disappoint. The experience was pleasant! One could say that the shipper is a bit large and wasteful, but it's made from cardboard and molded fiber pulp, and all of it is recyclable.  

Again, you can tell that a lot of thought went into the design of the container. All boxes are checked in terms of durability, functionality, and it's aesthetically pleasing :) Nice to keep on the countertop vs. a plastic mass brand container. The container kind of looks like a bluetooth speaker!

All in all,  I like what Biom is doing :) 

Side note:  Although it's not a toothbrush, Biom reminds me of Quip!

shipping was very slow & was a lot of packaging. the founder emailed a video explaining the company, the wipes etc which i thought was a nice touch. my main issue is the wipes aren’t wet enough & if even a small part of the next wipe comes up & is in the lid of the container until you use it that part is completely dried out but high alcohol content will do that. i like that they dont leave my hands sticky or with a strong scent. also a bit expensive for amount we go through. 

i ordered eucalyptus & am very sensitive to scent & found this to be just right. the container is sturdy & each wipe comes out easy. i definitely like that there were several color options for the container as its much nicer to leave out on my bathrm sink sort of blending in with the countertop. i also struggle with the guilt of using so many wipes esp during the pandemic so finding these plant based compostable is great!

They would truly be 5/5 if the wipes were stronger or the “pull hole” was weaker, also the wipes could be a little more moist so they don’t dry out so fast. 

I love the look of this container on my counter. It’s the same matte black as my expensive water kettle so it doesn’t look ugly or out of place on the counter! The bergamot wipes I picked also smell great and do a good job of cleaning up messes and don’t leave any residue behind. 

 I really appreciated  the personal touch from the company’s founder who sent a personalized video to me talking about the company and the best way to use the canister. Unfortunately the pull method they recommended doesn’t work very well and the wipes kept ripping when I tried to pull them out (both the way they recommend and the way they don’t) and the top one dries out pretty quickly when sticking out of the hole so I’ve just resigned myself to taking the whole lid off whenever I need a wipe. 

As others have mentioned, the wipes lack enough moisture to wipe down an entire kitchen or bathroom, so I still feel like I am wasting it! 

UPDATE: what it lacks in moisture, it has in durability; even though it wont wipe away a grease spot with ease, it WILL remain untorn throughout

My household is not a Clorox wipe household, but I picked Biom up during a Thingdrop because I was interested in the convenience of a wipe without the obnoxious packaging or bad chemicals.
On those two fronts, Biom delivers! It is a chic, Wall-E style container that sits comfortably and pleasantly on my kitchen counter. I appreciated getting 2 sets of wipes in the package and the box, while huge, is beautiful and will make a great care package box! 

I love the aesthetic and the mission of the brand. I’m excited about all I’ve learned about wipes through biom and the lavender wipes smell amazing. 

Preloaded containers or more obvious instructions on how to use would help.

Like the idea of the product and the container looks cool. In practice however, it was hard for me to load properly with the wipes, which also weren’t easy to pull out and dispense. Wipes dried out as well during those challenges.

Could be cool to have a suction cup on the bottom so I can stick it to my counter and not need to use two hands to get a wipe out. 

I didn’t think I could love a cleaning product so much but I do? The packaging is so modern and sleek looking that I don’t mind at all keeping this on my counter. It’s so handy for quickly cleaning my phone or other objects that carry a ton of bacteria and I bring into my home. Love that the vessel is reusable and not a giant plastic container. The scent is super soft and pleasant - no alcohol smell and it doesn’t feel like a harsh cleaning product. 

Make the wipes sturdier! Also can we compost the wipes? 

I really liked the unboxing for Biom, it was really clean and streamlined even though the box was bigger than I expected. The design of the container is nice and I liked the quantity of wipes. My main issue with Biom is that I kept ripping the wipes when pulling them through the dispensing slot. The wipes weren't sturdy enough to make it through without ripping. I love the concept of Biom I just would not repurchase if the wipes weren't fixed because I ended up opening the container to get the wipes versus using the dispensing slot. 

I’d say the thickness of the wipes. Maybe a different version for heavier messes

Simple design and simple product. Love them. 

Loading the wipes was tricky at first. Probably user error but I found there to be quite a bit of resistance when pulling wipes from the canister.  I wish there were different time horizons for the subscription (e.g., every 3-4 months), at least it doesn't come across that way on the All-Purpose Cleaning Wipes product page.

I was trying to cut back on paper towel usage and find a cleaner/cleaning wipe that wasn't so harsh. I happened to catch Biom on a Thingdrop and was pretty excited for the product. 

Having those ugly plastic satchels laying around our house was hurting my OCD soul.  Naturally I loved the Biom canister and the fact that these bad boys are biodegradable. I keep them with our home workout equipment and it's been a great product to clean the ole Peloton with. 

If you consider that a pack of Clorex wipes is about $6, Biom's products are a no brainer given that they smell wayyy better and are environmentally friendly 🌲☮️✌🏼

First off, I love the design and eco-friendly packaging, it is a gamechanger for my cleaning needs. But more importantly, the wipes are awesome. I have had several re-orders and every one is moist and cleans surfaces without streaks or residue. The sanitizing wipes are in my office, car, and bathroom and my kids like the smell of the wipes. I would like to see larger wipe count as I go through these very fast!!
