Beauty of Joseon earns strong reviews for gentle, elegant formulas that often perform—especially its Relief Sun, Aqua Sun, and Matte Sun Stick, which feel lightweight, layer well under makeup, and frequently avoid white cast while leaving a dewy-to-matte, comfortable finish. Reviews also flag inconsistencies: some sunscreens run oily or shiny on combo/oily skin, occasional white cast under flash or on some tones, potential pilling with the stick if skin isn’t prepped, and several serums and eye patches feeling underwhelming or irritating to sensitive eyes.

Beauty of Joseon Aqua Sun is lightweight, hydrating, and absorbs instantly with no white cast. SPF 50+ protects all day, and it feels comfortable under makeup or on bare skin. Leaves a soft, fresh finish and keeps skin calm and nourished.

This sunscreen is a lighter version of the Relief Sun Rice standard one and feels super nice on the skin, especially during summer or hotter days, this is my go-to. I absolutely love how it gives my skin a nice glow and how it leaves me feeling nourished, moisturized and UV protected. Will repurchase again and again.
