I received a sample bar of Aloha a few months ago, and I was super skeptical. I've tried many protein bars that boast a great flavor and great consistency, yet left me feeling very disappointed. Aloha, on the other hand, was not a disaster. The flavors I've had so far have been wonderful and something I want to eat, not compared to some of the cardboard protein bars I've had from other brands. They are chewy without being rubbery, and they don't leave a dreaded bitter aftertaste whatsoever. The ingredients make sense, and I'm happy to say they don't contain animal by-products like a random gelatin (it's always surprising to me how some brands will say plant-based yet have real gelatin. Like, what?).
The last flavor I tried was the peanut butter chocolate chip, and biting into a soft, decadent chocolate chip was fantastic!
The only negative is the price. I mean, you get what you pay for, but the pricing is definitely not easy on the wallet. It's one of those things I would love to eat daily yet can't ignore the cost. Thankfully, sales do happen, and that's exactly when I stock up.
