Ayurveda has always been more than a practice; it's a family tradition. We grew up in a home where Ayurveda was a way of life. Our grandmother knew exactly which herbs to blend for digestion, which fruits to combine for energy, and when to drink for maximum benefit. When our mom visited us in 2022, a simple trip to the grocery store sparked something big. We noticed the shelves were loaded with drinks that were too sweet, synthetic, artificially flavored, and packed with sweeteners and preservatives. We stood there thinking we had grown up with something so much better than this. That realization inspired us to return to our roots. We began experimenting with generational recipes in our Brooklyn kitchen — the same blends and wellness drinks we had grown up with. What started as small batches at the Fort Greene Farmers Market quickly grew, thanks to the incredible response from our community. Drawing from 5,000 years of Ayurvedic wisdom and three generations of family practice, we spent four years perfecting what became Aayur Organic: Ayurveda-inspired functional beverages for gut balance.
