Meet Libby: coffee table book nerd, Spirit Halloween fanatic, and professional cocktail taste-tester (self-appointed, of course). After a wild ride in D.C., she bounced back to Tulsa to start Atlas, a school that turns adults into software whizzes. When she’s not bossing around future coders, she’s obsessing over baby gear, party planning, and hunting down the perfect drink, then telling the world all about it on Thingtesting.

Hi Libby! Introduce yourself to the readers:
Hi! My name is Libby, and I'm a fan of coffee table books and Spirit Halloween stores. A native Oklahoman, I spent over seven years in Washington, D.C., where I fell in love with good cocktails, shoppy-shops... and then my husband! I found my way back to Tulsa six years ago and founded a school called Atlas. It’s an incredible place where we train adults in software engineering and help them get jobs.
In my spare time, I'm pretty obsessed with having new obsessions. Right now, it's all things party hosting, baby gear, and cocktail making. I also love discovering new things about where I live.
How did you first discover Thingtesting, and what motivated you to start reviewing products?
A friend once said, “Every time I find a new brand on Instagram, I know I can count on Libby already following them.” He had heard about Thingtesting, and I was on the site with 10 or more reviews the next day.
What’s your favorite part of being a Thingtester?
It’s a mix of finding new brands (that sleuth mode) and then singing the praises of the ones I love. I tend to alternate between those two modes, and Thingtesting gives me a place to do both.
What are your 5 favorite brands, and what makes them stand out to you?
🧸 Jellycat — I'm a mom to a one-year-old (tomorrow!), and this was the first baby-related item I reviewed. I still don’t understand how they make the stuffies that cute and that soft.
🍸 Disco Inferno — This was an early Thingdrop item for our cocktail-making adventures. These drops add depth and character to a drink, and they look so chic on my bar.
🧦 Doublesoul — Another Thingdrop find and honestly the most utilitarian brand I get hyped about when sharing reviews. I wear mine weekly, especially the low socks with the ankle guard.
🪒 Billie — I've been using Billie for over seven years, and the product is just that good and that convenient. It was a pioneer in the DTC subscription space. The colors alone make you want to do a full-body shower!
💄 Glossier — It might be cheesy, and I don’t use all their products anymore, but I will always ride for Glossier. From the early days reading Into The Gloss, I felt like I was part of the brand’s story. I launched my first company with my best girlfriends at the same time women like Emily Weiss were taking off. I love what the brand stands for, the minimalist makeup-meets-skincare vibe, and that pink? It always sparks joy.
What are your 5 favorite products of all time?
The brand question was hard enough! But here are my most favorite and dependable products:
🌿 Weleda Skin Food Light Nourishing Cream — The best all-around moisturizer.
🧶 Everlane Organic Cotton Crew Sweater — It never pills, I own every color, and it's a year-round champion.
💇♀️ J.Crew Italian Tortoise Claw Clip — Not all claw clips are made the same. I’ve been stealing my mom’s since I was a kid, and they’re still part of my daily routine.
👁️ Merit Beauty Clean Lash Mascara — This almost made it into my favorite brands list, but I swear by this mascara. I love the way it flakes off cleanly.
🍹 St. Agrestis Phony Negroni — I was recently pregnant but drink a very dry martini, so I'm incredibly grateful this exists. No juice-based mocktails here—the bitter balance is perfect. It really expanded the options for people who want a sipper without the buzz.
(P.S. If we’re being honest, isn’t Slack one of the best products of all time? lol)
Anything else you'd like to share? The floor is yours! 👯♀️
I’m so grateful for what you’ve built at Thingtesting. Discovering new products has brought me so much joy, but even more than that, it’s been amazing to connect with other people like me—folks who love the joy of stuff, the wonder of discovering something new and inventive, and, most importantly, people who can’t stop talking about it when they do. :)
