10 Brands Spotted

New and emerging brands, curated by the Thingtesting team

Roadie is a new non-alcoholic beer marketing itself as "the official drink of driving" — a tactic that can't help but raise eyebrows, given a beer in the hands of a driver, even an alcohol-free one, elicits discomfort. The brand's Instagram leans into nostalgia, with stories of drivers on the open roads of the American West, tasting freedom. It seems to have plenty of fans, and Roadie toes the responsible line by pointing to its 0.0% credentials and donations to "groups working to keep our roads safe" (no further info on that yet).

Also in the food and drink aisles, this week we have spotted Beaune, which is bone broth in a can that comes in flavors like passionfruit ginger and watermelon, Takeaways makes savoury snack sticks, and Almonte is a range of olive oils for people who have high standards when it comes to quality and provenance.

We also have some interesting health and wellness finds for you: gummy brands Daily Lioness (for women fighting the 3pm slump) and Shred (which contain 17g protein per pouch), and sunscreen brands HAESKN (sweat-resistant for outdoor activities) and Pasty Man (for men). Mindbyte sells supplements like creatine and omega-3 to support brain function. Lastly, we have Dusq, a wearable that sits behind your ear and stimulates your vagus nerve to help you sleep.
