Underwater Weaving Studio crafts heirloom-quality baskets and fosters community through workshops and seasonal weaving kits.

Underwater Weaving Studio is a Brooklyn-based basket atelier founded by Erin Pollard, dedicated to reviving the art of basketry through contemporary, handcrafted designs. Collaborating with her mother, a retired professional basket weaver, Pollard creates heirloom-quality rattan baskets that blend traditional techniques with modern aesthetics. The studio offers a range of products, including one-of-a-kind baskets, weaving kits, and seasonal collections, aiming to make the craft accessible and engaging for a new generation. Through community-centered workshops and the Underwater Weaving Club—a bi-monthly subscription delivering basket-making kits—the brand fosters a hands-on, meditative approach to creativity, emphasizing the importance of preserving and sharing artisanal knowledge.

Crescent Trug is more than just a basket, it's a lifestyle. More than a domestic tool or accessory, this woven basket becomes a keeper of stories. It serves as a reminder that what is shaped by hand can shape in return. This basket symbolizes a return of connection, patience, and tangibility.
