I've had them ship bags of chips in the same box as full 6-pack boxes of drinks. Luckily I haven't had any of my chips open up on me, but it makes me think they're trying to fit it into one box to save themselves on shipping costs.

Thanks for the updated review - and the great feedback on organic choices. We'll definitely pass this along to our buying team. And...regarding the best by dates...we agree! Best By dates aren't even mandated by the USDA (barring infant formula). This is even more important when we think about Shelf Stable food items that we sell at Martie...items are still completely safe to eat. But we don't list items on the site that have passed their best by date. And, we show you the Best By Date right on each product page, so you can shop to your comfort level. Thanks again, Jen!

I'm shopping Martie every month and have quickly become obsessed with how much money I save on essentials like whole bean coffee, pasta, nicer pasta and pizza sauces, organic snacks and drinks. Having my Martie box is like a little moment of joy in our household and checking the site is like a treasure hunt.

It's not often that I encounter a site with *actual* deals that beat what I can find elsewhere on the internet, but Martie delivers. Consistently cheaper than anywhere else, and the food is perfectly fine. I like that I can shop whenever without having to commit to a subscription box delivery, and they use UPS so my order arrives fast. Hint for those reading: check back often because the inventory at Martie goes quick. If you see something you like, definitely don't wait too long or else it might sell out. I've had one or two items that I bought that weren't my favorite, but overall I've had great luck with trying new products and brands for cheap. I got this W&P ceramic tumbler for $9 on Martie... it's $40 on the W&P website right now. Crazy deal!

If grocery inflation is crushing your monthly budget, definitely give this place a shot.

Yes, I work at Martie. Yes, you'll see my name on the comments here. And yes, I'm giving Martie a 5 star review (obviously). But here's the real real. I do order every month, and yes I do pay for it (not sponsored!). And I do have a snack drawer that dreams are made of, thanks to Martie. And I just placed a big order on Instacart for a family get together, and I wish I thought ahead and ordered from Martie, because I just paid $9.99 for Kind Bars that I could have gotten at Martie for $4.99 🤦‍♀️

So, for real. My name is Michelle, I work at Martie and I endorse this brand for savings on stuff you are already buying, and honestly....just having a little bit of fun at the same time. Life has enough complications. Grocery shopping CAN be fun. Thanks Martie :) And, hi to my boss!

I love it! There's something for every dietary preference. I make sure to look at the expiration date in the listing (a lot of the time the shelf life exceeds the best buy expiration date).  If you are squeamish about the idea of buying something that might expire in month, then keep in mind that a lot of products are available that do not expire soon-- the products are on the site because they are seasonal (pumpkin spice, winter themed, Halloween themed) and these items had to be pulled from store shelves. 
Honestly, I don't really understand some of these reviews. The company is focused on reducing food waste and does this buy selling products that may be close to expiration date, may be out of season, may have changed packaging, may not have been a big seller, or the supplier just over estimated how much demand there would be. I love Martie because unlike Thrive Market or Imperfect foods, I don't have to keep a subscription. This is my new go to for shelf stable goods (snack foods, nut butter, crackers, prepackaged meals).  As someone who has lots of food allergies and prefers to buy sustainable, organic, vegan whenever possible,  I love that I can find my favorite brands on Martie at prices that are equal to or less than the sale price at my local store.  Lots of eco friendly brands to choose from and with new products added all the time, it's surprising to think anyone would struggle to find enough variety.  You can get your commercial big brands and even those obscure lesser known brands. 

This is exactly what the food sustainability market needs!

My box in the photo contains 14 items (all vegan, some keto, some organic) and I paid $55. I would have spent more than double even if they items were on sale at my local grocery store. No complaints so far.

I think the company overall has a great mission to reduce food waste while also offering usually expensive foods at reasonable prices. The selection seems to be mostly for snack foods, but I mean who doesn't snack? My first order arrived next day after it shipped because I suppose I live close to their warehouse. I am disappointed with how they shipped my order though. I bought four 12-packs of coffees, and these bulky items were shipped in the same box as the few other items I bought. One of the cans arrived severely dented on the side. The box had a lot of bubblewrap and extra paper as padding, but I think they should have shipped the coffees separately from everything else which also included a bag of chips (which thankfully was fine). Even their shipping updates say items may arrive in separate boxes, so it's not out of the question. I'd just be careful ordering from here when buying bulky items in addition to non-bulky ones. I'm not personally picky about dented cans, but I know that shipping mishaps can absolutely turn off customers.

Very disappointed because they don't treat customers the right way. On the website there was Ferrero Rocher chocolate assortment 7.93 oz., so I purchased 6 boxes together with other products. When  I received the order,the boxes of Ferrero chocolate were half a size 4.1 oz.
I have reach out to them by email, phone, text and they just ignored me. Very disappointed, and I can’t imagine in USA, our days of 2024 the customers to be treated like that! Why you make fake advertising? For increasing sales? 

I discovered Martie back in January and have placed 7 orders since then (about to be 8). I was sucked in by the healthy foods (I eat gluten, dairy, and sugar free) at a fraction of the price. It’s hard finding tasty food when you have these restrictions and it can be pretty disheartening spending $12 on a chocolate bar for it to be gross. Martie has given me the opportunity to try so many things without experiencing buyers remorse if it happens not to be my favorite.
I have discovered so many yummy items that I normally don’t even see at the grocery store. I love checking the app everyday to see what’s new and also hoping for some of my favorites to come back in stock.
My last order one of my bags of chips popped open during shipping. I simply took a picture and sent them an email and got a reply back less than 24 hours with an apology and refund for the item.
I have had a wonderful experience with the service, the user friendly app, and customer service. 10/10 recommend 😊

I can’t say enough good things about Martie! I have found brands like Ceremonia and Clinique for amazing prices and I love their mission. Everything arrives well packaged through shipping. 

I've ordered 9 times from Martie, and I love it. I think what they're doing is fantastic, and it pains me to write a review as I'd really prefer to gatekeep it. I like the majority of products I've tried, and despite a couple of minor product issues (I would rate 4.5 stars instead of 5 if I could), I will continue to order pantry items etc. from Martie. Any issues I've had have been resolved, which is of course annoying, but personally I think it's worth it as I enjoy giving startups a chance to fix issues and better themselves/the consumer experience when their overall mission is for sustainability and affordability. I've saved a lot of money using Martie and also gotten to try healthy products (I'm typically gluten/dairy/soy free), but with any discount shop, there will be a few pitfalls.

Examples -
- Care in packaging has gone down hill - everything used to be extremely well packed/wrapped up (like, glass jars wrapped individually in brown gridded paper), but in my most recent order, all the items were just thrown into the box haphazardly, resulting in 2 soup cartons getting damaged
- Sometimes products are not actually good/tasty - but this can happen with any grocery purchase/experience and isn't exclusive to Martie. Just try to do research before buying.
- I've ordered skincare that arrived unusable (like one face wash was separated inside the bottle and had to be thrown away)
- Their website mission is to sell quality food, and "never sell products with harmful ingredients," but some of the brands are definitely mainstream and not good for you. For example, right now on the site you can find Skittles Cotton Candy, with ingredients including "Sugar, Natural And Artificial Flavors, Artificial Color Fdc Red #40." You can also find a somewhat random box of "Cookie Crush Christmas Tree Cookies" made of "Enriched Bleached Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic Acid), Sugar, Vegetable Shortening (Palm Oil), Water, Corn Sugar, Nonpareils (Sugar, Corn Starch, Red 3, Confectioner’s Glaze, Carnauba Wax, Yellow 5, Blue 1, Yellow 6, Red 40), Natural and Artificial Flavor (Milk), Salt, Soy Lecithin (Emulsifier), Sodium Bicarbonate, Yellow 5, Yellow 5 Lake, Blue 1 Lake, Blue 1." So I think this company mission is misleading, as not all the products on the website are quality.

Regardless, Martie has given me the opportunity to learn about and try new, healthy products at affordable prices, and I can just opt out of ordering the Skittles. You can too!

I have known about Martie for some time and had put it on the back burner. I chose to try it out when I checked out the selection of foods/items I would buy. The good thing is that the site is focused on not wasting food, so the products are lower price than in store. I have purchased a few times from Martie so far. Fast shipping and only 1.99 added for shipping. Always new things added to the site as well and they have an app. 

Recently placed my second order with them, thought it was so cute they included stickers in my package. I am a HUGE fan of this website, I check it probably every other day. It's such a great way to get to try new health food items that I would never buy at regular price and allows me to buy my favorite pantry staples at a better price. I have never followed best by dates, so doesn't bother me at all that some items are nearing their time it doesn't taste any different. I like their product selection and hope to see more things in the future.

Placed an order from here after getting the $15 Thingtesting gift card. Got two skincare items and two food items for a really good deal! Shipping was quick and I got really cute stickers with my order (already used one). Would use again if I get credits for it again. 

I really love Martie. They make it easy to get shelf-stable groceries and household items delivered right to your door, and you’re paying up to 70% less than you would at the grocery store. They team up with top brands to purchase surplus inventory (i.e., products that might otherwise go to waste), helping to reduce food waste and make high-quality products more affordable. 

The site is well-curated, so you're not overwhelmed with endless options but instead guided toward meaningful finds. I’ve purchased everything from Byredo perfume to Pellegrino sparkling water. (They even have La Mer discounted!) 

Their branding is adorable too; it doesn't feel like you're shopping discounted goods, and I love the little touches like the stickers they include with every order. It makes the whole experience feel special. Overall, Martie’s commitment to sustainability, quality, and a delightful shopping experience has made it one of my favorite brands to browse and shop from.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.  Their shipping people treat delicate things like chips like they are packing material.  I ordered eight 11oz. bags of  tortilla chips and the shipping people jammed the bags into the box so hard that they crushed most of the bags of chips and even caused one bag to break open at the bottom seam.  They did the same thing with my first order of these chips that included a box of peanut butter crackers which was on the heavy side.  They used the chips in that order like packing material around the heavy box of crackers and I ended up with most of the bags of chips in that order getting crush damage.  This company does not read the complaints from customers?  I did and there are dozens of complaints about damaged products because of the poor packing methods used by their shipping department.  I am done with this company and I will do my best to deter future customers from ordering from them.  You don't deserve to be in business.     And I don't think they even read complaints from customers.  Otherwise, why does this problem continue to happen. 

Great shopping experience online and with delivery. I like being able to see the expiration dates. It's a great way to try some new products and also get some more expensive products at a cheaper rate. Sometimes seasonal items too that you can still use even if off season. 

absolutely love Martie - sign up for the email notifications. Amazing beauty and home products pop up all the time at amazing discounts. Also a great place to try new snacks / drinks. Lots of non-alcoholic and hydration options are always coming up every week. 



tried martie to stock up on gluten-free and vegan snacks for my family - they were a hit! as long as you check the expiry dates, some items closer than others, a great way to get a discount and try new brands (or those you already love on overstock!) 

I am addicted to Martie! I love ordering from them, and tend to place an order about twice a month. I find new items and brands for myself and my family. I also order beloved brands on great discounts. I've even found really cool decor items! The only drawback is not being able to reorder things you fall in love with - for example, my daughter found her favorite-ever dry shampoo from here...but it wasn't available to order anywhere else. I guess it was the last of a brand going out of business. BUT ordering from Martie is still definitely worth it! I keep my pantry at home and desk at work stocked with snacks from Martie, as pictured here:)

I think Martie is a fun concept—it gives you the opportunity to try a number of DTC brands at a discount. I found the website challenging to navigate (it’s kind of chaotic) and the number of emails I’ve received since placing my order is borderline annoying. But everything was shipped fast and packaged well. If you order from them you should be mindful that many items have sell by dates that are about to pass (like I wanted to order a bonne mamman product and the sell by date was this Friday so I passed on it). 

Was the first and last time ordering. Box arrived damaged. Bags and boxes inside were smashed. Was supposed to receive a 6 pk of Udon ramen (was charged $9.99) and received 1 bowl, not the 6 I paid for. 

Contacted customer service and was given a credit for $15 but had to make another purchase.  No, thanks. You had a chance to make this right the first time, but didn't. You have lost a customer. 

This will be the first of many negative reviews that I will be posting. Will also be contacting the California AGs office about their deceptive business practices and my credit card company to file a dispute. 

Update to the updated review. I never received the $10 credit the CS agent said I would receive for damaged products on my second review. Yesterday, I noticed a huge problem with their site where the products will be a lower price and then switches to a more expensive price upon checkout. This is false advertising. I had a very good experience recently with one CS agent, only to have another take back credit the first one had given me for a price discrepancy. Photos included. I used an example of a price difference on a similar product as an example. The total discrepancy was $6.99. The customer support is awful if you end up with Anna. She is actively hostile to Martie.com customers. Kate was lovely. Unfortunately, the nice customer service agent isn't the one I ended up with in the final follow up. 

Updated review- they credited me for an issue with shipping. I’ll give them another try.
