Tried the Kenya AA from Mak Coffee and honestly, it’s a solid cup if you like your coffee bright and lively. The first thing I noticed was the smell—super fresh, kind of fruity, almost citrusy. Once brewed, the flavor really kicks in—think blackcurrant, maybe some grapefruit, and this clean, crisp finish that makes you go “okay, this is different.” It’s definitely not your average smooth, chocolatey coffee. It’s got a tang to it—like, it wakes up your taste buds. I had it black using pour-over and that seemed to bring out the best in it. Probably not something I’d mix with milk; it’s not that type of coffee. More like a sipper, something to enjoy when you actually want to taste the coffee. If I had to nitpick, it’s a bit too acidic for everyday drinking (at least for me), but that’s also kind of the point. It’s not trying to be mellow. It’s bold, a little wild, and pretty fun if you’re in the mood for something with personality.
