Such a tasty, adorable, and well-designed product! Extremely fresh tasting, and I could eat it every day if I could. I bought the kit, which came with a cute little booklet, thermometer, and jar. I've introduced this product to some of my friends and it's made such a tasty, easy-to-use kimchi starter kit for many of the meals we've had together.

Incredible packaging, incredible attention to detail, and an incredible product overall!! The kimchi paste is so tasty and every detail of this product is so thought through. I especially loved the recipe book-- it was incredibly well-designed, the recipes were so fun and yummy, and the backstory about the product designer herself was so touching. Will definitely be purchasing again.

This kimchi paste is like the magic foundation for a lot of different things which is what I love about it. You can add it to a mushroom cream sauce for steaks to give more depth of flavor and umami, you can add it as a base for udon stir fry, and you can make dipping sauces with it for a lot of things! Obviously the main focus of the paste is to allow making kimchi to be a hassle free process but I love experimenting with it for lots of different things as well!

Overall Insanely simple ingredients with maximum flavor and freshness.  Highly versatile applications, fun/clean, and effective to use. A true gem in today’s noisy offerings of spicy sauces.   How I use it Although I feel very comfortable navigating through the home kitchen, cleaning up is always a point of friction that keeps me from making a lot of my favorite foods.  Komo Kimchi Paste is a lifesaver when it comes to having high-quality and healthy ways to incorporate umami into dishes.  Simple When I want a complex and umami fresh chili heat with some serious fresh ginger flavors that perk up at the end, I use Komo Kimchi Paste - small amounts add subtle sweet/umami/fresh aromatics flavors. Larger amounts allow Komo Kimchi Paste to support an already delicious tomato into something that’s so addictive that I’ll have it everyday for a week (this is rare, as I seldom enjoy eating the same thing more than once a week.) A weeknight/tired meal lifesaver, I’ve used Komo Kimchi Paste in a pinch with knife cut noodles, browned butter and leftover rotisserie chicken, which my roommate said “had no business tasting this good in so little time.”  It’s also really delicious with mild/creamy to briny and salty cheeses served with nice crusty bread (komo kimchi paste x greek feta is a dream - think Korean tyrokafteri).  I’ve also served KKP with a broiled caramelized napa cabbage dish, which my friends unprompted ask how the sauce was made, since it complimented the dish so well. KKP also works great with fresh vegetal sauces like green sauce/ papi chulo.   More involved: The paste holds its own without having to add any of the usual fresh ingredients for napa cabbage kimchi like garlic chives, radish, and carrots.  The packaging style makes adding controlled quantities of kimchi paste very clean and contained. It’s amazing what Crystal has been able to achieve with so much love for her cultural foods.  

Wow, where do I even begin? A product that is absolutely fresh and delicious every time I purchase it. This kimchi paste packs a bold punch of umami flavor, that amplifies any dish I add it to. It has a unique profile of tangy, sweet, and spicy which allows you to take your cooking to a whole other level. The pouch design is easy to use, and allows preparing meals in the kitchen a total breeze for me. Komo’s kimchi paste is truly unique and stands out from other kimchi products I have previously tried. What I like most about this product, is you can taste the authentic flavors of real kimchi, which comes from the fresh ingredients and all the love put into this traditional Korean recipe. Thank you Komo’s kimchi paste for blessing my tastebuds with pure zesty goodness!

I got the kit, which comes with a mini recipe book, a thermometer, and a jar for fermenting, and the paste itself! The buying process was smooth and intuitive. Everything arrived carefully wrapped, and it's clear that a lot of thought went into the consumer experience. Overall, this is a super fun but practical product that's really versatile - I've put this paste to a variety of different uses, from 5-min garlicky cucumbers to Sunday roast. The best way I can describe the taste is - spicy (not very though), umami, garlicky, gingery, and deep. As someone who doesn't cook on the regular, it's really easy to use and makes everything taste delicious. You can scale up or down depending on your mood and either follow the recipe book for the full kimchi-making experience, or dump into last night's leftovers. Plus, every time I've incorporated it into a dish, I've gotten questions & compliments (totally unprompted) from people asking me "what I put in this." 100/10 would buy again! My only complaint is that I ran out too fast :)

I’d give this more than 5 stars if I could, and I’ve only briefly used it, and in simplistic applications. I’m an experimental Vietnamese-Texas BBQ Pitmaster and am always hesitant to use pre-made seasonings and pastes, aside from bases such as BBQ sauce or gochujang to which I always add a myriad of additional seasonings to make gear to whatever dish I’m making. This paste was amazing straight out of the squeeze bottle, though. Because the flavors are so densely packed and pure quality, I typically use it when I want to a tangy and garlicky punch (which is 70% of the time). So far, it’s combined incredibly with Vietnamese recipes, Texas BBQ, fusion of the two prior, and also just plain quick meals - any cuisine from American and Korean to Cajun, Japanese, and Hawaiian. I can’t wait to try making kimchi foods with it! Okra is on my mind in addition to the recipes conveniently provided on the QR code on the packaging.
