At the heart of Khalo's origin story lies a deeply personal journey intertwined with the nurturing traditions passed down by our ancestors. As a first-generation Indian American immigrant I got caught up in the overly processed Standard American diet during college. When I launched into my nearly decade long career launching and marketing new beauty and cosmetic products for luxury beauty brands, I began to develop gut health issues like IBS and leaky gut that left me debilitated. There is only so much that makeup can cover up.
