Ippodo Tea makes my favorite high-quality matcha — their products are consistently fresh, vibrant, and clearly handled with care. It’s hard to beat the depth of flavor and balance in their matcha, whether you’re preparing it traditionally or using it in something more modern. They used to have a location in NYC, which I really miss — it made their teas even more accessible. Thankfully, their online ordering is still reliable. If you’re looking for exceptional matcha straight from Japan, Ippodo continues to be one of the best (when and if you can get it with the ongoing shortage).
