Reviews mention

  • Clean, organic ingredient list
  • Rich, satisfying chocolate flavor
  • Creamy, indulgent filled centers
  • Wide, inventive flavor assortment
  • Premium price for quantity
  • Occasional chalky bar texture
  • Very dark profile alienates palates
  • Over-salted chocolate-covered nuts

Hu Kitchen earns strong reviews for high-quality, clean-ingredient chocolate that tastes rich yet not overly sweet, with standout flavors like Cashew Butter + Raspberry, Almond Butter Dark Chocolate, Hazelnut Coffee, and Vanilla Crunch; it is widely considered good and satisfying. Reviews also flag drawbacks: a premium price, occasionally chalky texture, very dark flavor profile that won’t suit everyone, some overly salty chocolate-covered nuts, and a mention of lead-content allegations prompting caution.

  • I've been a huge fan of all Hu products for years. I was by no means a dark chocolate person before I tried Hu, and it has completely converted me. The flavors are outstanding, the quality is superior, and the clean ingredients you cannot get anywhere else.

  • My family used to buy hu chocolate by the case. The cashew butter was out favorite. I love so many!

    Not a thing

  • These are tasty and I like knowing I'm eating a treat with better ingredients. These aren't cheap, so I get them as a special treat.

  • I enjoyed it. It didn't taste any different from "normal" chocolate. Would eat again

The price. It's kind of expensive

  • hu's chocolate bars are outta this world—creamy & indulgent while boasting a really clean ingredients list. their salty dark chocolate is a pantry staple for me!

  • This is the best chocolate on the market. Natural, non-inflammatory, real ingredients that don't compromise on taste. Doesn't give me a sugar crash or a tummy ache. I don't crave it either which I think is a good thing. When I ate other bars like galaxy or dairy milk I would crave them so often and want to eat so much, with this I don't get crazy cravings and genuinely feel satisfied. It may be pricy but it's worth not continuing to aggravate my digestive issues or sacrifice my health whilst still being able to enjoy the delectable taste. I can't pick my favourite flavour.

  • I've been a return customer to Hu chocolates ever since encountering them at the Hu Kitchen in NYC. Pricey but delicious - and at least you know the $ is going toward higher quality ingredients! The hazlenut butter one is dangerously good, and I love that they use so many kinds of nut butter for the allergied among us (cashew ftw)! The straight chocolate one isn't my favorite, but obviously better than any other low-quality chocolate brand that leaves that sticky film on your mouth... no thank you. Fan!

    None, just love them
  • My favorite chocolate! I cannot speak highly enough about how much I love their chocolate! I will have a few Hu gems every day.. because life is too short to skip the chocolate (and that is coming from someone who is healing their relationship to food).

  • Literally love all Hu products I've tried. So yummy and love how real/clean the ingredients are! The chocolate-covered golden-berries are my fav 😋

  • This brand is AMAZING!! I know that I can fully trust the ingredients going into these chocolate bars and snacks. My personal favorite is the Vanilla Crunch (cleaner alternative to a Nestle Crunch bar) and the Chocolate Cashew + Raspberry.

Definitely a must buy over other popular candy bar brands.

  • LOVEEE their chocolate bars, cookies, and crackers. Great ingredients and they taste great!

I think the bars a bit cross prohibitive. I also do not like that they have started including plastic in their packagingl.l

  • Absolutely delicious chocolate! A few bites satisfies.

  • My current favorite fancy (or any) chocolate. I love the cashew butter and the hazelnut butter bars!

I have nothing bad to say...

  • I love their Snickerdoodle cookies. They're expensive, so just a once-in-a-while treat, but god are they good.

The price is high- I think if they lowered a bit they might make more profit from sales volume.
