Gaia's Farming Co. exists to protect Mother Earth. What better way than using her most sustainable plant, hemp.
We combine the best ingredients to create products that taste delicious but also allow you to fight for the planet. Great taste should not cost the Earth.
Environment:
• Hemp removes 4x more CO2 per acre than trees, but yet takes 100 days to grow to maturity, as trees can take 8+ years to grow to maturity.
• Phytoremediation involves the use of plants to extract and remove elemental pollutants from the soil. It’s the process of using plants to clean up soil, air, and water contaminated with hazardous contaminants. Hemp is amazing at adding nutrients to soil whilst it can also be used as a soil erosion tool. We can use hemp as both a crop cycle (great for farmers) and a crop to rejuvenate soil life activity.
• Due to every part of the plant being able to be used for industrial application, it makes Hemp one of the most sustainable plants on Earth. From paper, bio-polymers, animal bedding, concrete, textiles etc. Whilst the seeds can be pressed or processed for food including, m*lk, juices, oil, fibre and protein (with a plant based protein sauce being one of the most in demand ingredients to date).
Hemp seeds have a myriad of health benefits depending on how you consume them.
Most of the fat in hemp seeds are unsaturated essential fatty acids, this improves blood cholesterol levels, stabilises heart rhythms and eases inflammation. The ratio in hemp of omega-6 to omega-3 is between 2:1 and 3:1 — a ratio optimal for human health.
Hemp has all amino acids, including the nine essential ones that your body needs to function. 65% of it is globulin edestin. That is the highest in the plant kingdom.
