DAKOZO is a premium luggage brand designed in London, founded by Kees Schrijver, who is half Dutch and half Chinese. After years working in online retail strategy for multiple big brands in London, and travelling between Europe and Asia, Kees felt the luggage industry deserved something more fresh and just…cooler: a brand that was unique, energetic and genuinely exciting. The idea behind DAKOZO was simple: why not build a suitcase like you would spec out a high-performance car? Every component has a specific job, so we set out to find simply the best specialists in the luggage industry for each one. Premium polycarbonate for the hardshell. Japanese YKK zippers for strength. Specialist silent wheels for a smoother ride. Durable, carefully selected fabrics for the interior. Each component is chosen for what it does best, then brought together into one complete design. Oh and colours? Made in-house, DAKOZO colourways are fully customised and carefully mixed ourselves. A signature metallic finish that subtly changes character depending on how the light hits the surface. The result is DAKOZO: futuristic silhouettes, metallic colourways and luggage engineered from the inside out. Distinctive, energetic and made to move.
