Caff Off makes naturally decaffeinated matcha made in Japan

I’m Lily, the founder of Caff Off. You might have seen me on our social media, but if not, it is so nice to meet you.

I’m originally from Australia, and I trained as a registered nurse. I spent my days working in infusions, chemotherapy, colonoscopy and high school nursing. I have always loved helping people and being part of something that truly makes a difference.

During COVID, the long shifts and emotional weight of the job slowly turned me into someone who ran on caffeine instead of rest. I was drinking 4 coffees and 3 matchas a day.... sleeping very little and telling myself it was just what I had to do to keep going.

I felt exhausted, anxious and totally disconnected from myself. I honestly did not know there was another way.

So I gave up coffee and swapped it for matcha, thinking I had found a healthier balance. What I did not realize was that matcha can carry almost as much caffeine. They say ignorance is bliss and maybe it is, until you are wide awake at 3am, staring at the ceiling, knowing you have to be up again at 5am for another shift.

That was my breaking point.

I was in a dark place mentally and I knew I needed change. But I did not want to give up something I loved. The warmth, comfort and the feeling of slowing down, even for a moment.

So I went to Japan and began the long, challenging and deeply personal journey of creating Caff Off. A way to keep the matcha ritual, without the crash, the jitters or the sleepless nights.

This brand was born from my own need for something gentler. Something calmer. Something that still felt like care.
