Borgatti's carries a reputation beyond the streets of the Bronx for fantastic Italian cuisine. I have yet to make a pilgrimage to the restaurant, but I hope to do so one day, especially after tasting their 4-cheese and spinach freezer ravioli, but not for the reason you think. Was this the best frozen ravioli I've had? Most likely. Does it replace the experience of going into the restaurant and trying the same dish? Far from it. I had high expectation for these ravioli, and as good as they were, I was something expecting truly exceptional. I was satisfied but not impressed. The flavors were well-balanced and there were more than enough for 4 or 5 servings. The box did contain a large about of semolina which made the cooking experience more messy than I hoped but that's just a warning. I would recommend this cheese ravioli to anyone who is looking for a tasty and satisfying meal. However, despite the convenience of freezer ravioli, it just may be in your best interest to go straight to the restaurant rather than experience this dish from home.
