The fir resin in particular takes it in a slightly earthier direction than the original. It's still good, just not identical. Longevity was solid for me -- I got right around 7-8 hours, which tracks with what they claim. Projection was strong but not overwhelming, which I appreciated. No headaches, no "I can smell you from across the room" moments. For $39 vs. $435? There's genuinely nothing to complain about. The bottle looks clean and feels well-made. The website was easy to navigate and my order came fast. One thing I'd love to see: a sample size option or a mini before committing to 30ml. I got lucky -- this one's a hit -- but with fragrance you really do need to smell it on your skin before buying. Would buy again and would gift this without hesitation.
